yeh we'll stuff 'em again. not too gutted with that......guessing we'll be on telly again
-
he's now the most expensive non-capped english player at £12m (its that quiz question that needs updating haha)
-
first of all, forgive me. ive been on holiday for a week and just got back. havnt read ANY of the comments here already. but im absolutely gutted milner has left. all the optimism of the transfer window is going fast as we're struggling to sign players while SWP goes to citeh etc. - now we sell one of our best players?? this is ridiculous dunno who im more angry with tbh, milner or the club. he deserved a better contract and the club should have gave him it, but then again he's leaving us in the lurch with 3 days left of the window.....he knows he cant be replaced in that time. he's also an idiot for thinking aston villa is a better option (money aside). its a sad day when villa are signing our best players, when at the moment we are of similar ability and historically, in my opinion, a bigger club. if it is 10million, thats an ok amount but i reckon we cudda held out for more. just overall, a bad bad move on everyones part, except villa who now have a very good player. also slightly disappointed KK cudnt talk milner into changing his mind. all he had to do was ask for loyalty and explain that he's a vital part of the team......basically just make him feel loved. maybe the board would have caved in eventually and gave him the contract he deserved. he's been my favourite player for years and ive never understood all the milner hate on here. ive defended him til the very end cos he's been unappreciated for too long. i guess theres plenty of holes in what ive just wrote but when im upset i tend to type a lot

corluka, ben haim, richards, dunne, onuoha, kompany. why so many CBs?? unless the corluka bid is getting revived
-
top signing for the mackems. its dead annoying.....
-
the article thinks we're in relegation trouble this year?? no chance. i know the clubs struggled lately but to suggest we're amongst the favourites to go down in a league with hull, stoke, west brom, fulham, wigan and bolton is ridiculous. last season was a disaster and we still ended up 12th (although for a time it was a bit scary).
-
yeh i've always thought we lack physicality. we do have a good amount of pace in the team, but in terms of height and strength....we're a bunch of weaklings. part of the reason portsmouth did so well last year was the physicality of the team. and considering how many goals we could score/concede from set pieces, its a very important issue.

Champions: Man U Champions League: Man U FA Cup: Chelsea League Cup: Man U Top Scorer: Crissy Ronaldo or Jermain Defoe Surprise Package: Wigan, I think theyll finish mid-table as there'll be no surpises in the top half. Also, Middlesbrough will be very very close to relegation as will Blackburn. UEFA Cup: AC Milan Top Four: Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool.....the safe option. The Drop: Fulham, Hull, Stoke (League table: 1 Man U, 2 Chelsea, 3 Arsenal, 4 Liverpool, 5 Everton, 6 Spurs, 7 Aston Villa, 8 Portsmouth, 9 Newcastle, 10 Man City, 11 West Ham, 12 Wigan, 13 Sunderland, 14 Blackburn, 15 Bolton, 16 Middlesbrough, 17 West Brom, 18 Fulham, 19 Hull, 20 Stoke)

Smith. At least Shola scored goals for us and cost nowt. Presently though, theyre as bad as each other.
-
Is it fun typing on a gold-encrusted keyboard? plenty of fun
-
that russian bloke saenko has signed for spartak moscow from nurnberg
-
Not to mention Blackburn players at war with Ince and West Ham being cash strapped. Us, Villa and Spurs look the only mid table teams on solid ground right now. who'd have ever thought we could say that? haha
-
agree. you're never out of a game if you have good set-pieces
-
yep. heard good things about him. sounds like a cheaper version of essien, which is why we should go for him.
-
whoever we buy, they need to be big and strong. im sick of seeing us at set pieces - no threat in attack and easy pickings at the back. this is a physical league and its time to add some strength.
-
tevez, romario and donny/leeds are right. and you were correct with burnley....burnley?? european quarter finals?? crazy haha
-
can only remember a few of them lol... which current premiership player won the south american player of the year 3 years in a row? who is the chief scout of derby county that was born in newcastle and started his career as a centre half at hartlepool and carlisle, before joining west ham? in the 1995-96 season, which current premiership team was at one time second bottom of the football league? who was the last team to win the league cup back-to-back? which winner of the south american player of the year had 4 spells with vasco da gama and first came to europe with psv before joining barcelona? billy bremner managed two of the clubs he played for, one of which was twice. name them which current championship team reached the quarter finals of the 1960-61 european cup before losing to hamburg? which was the last fa cup final to have both teams scoring, with the winner winning by more than one goal? theres more but i forgot haha oh, and thanks for the nice words
-
haha thanks Andy. unfortunately people will think i have lots of money now......bad news lads, i dont!! im now in hiding from yorkie-geordie too. maybe i can buy double glazing. to paraphrase alan shearer "just a civil servant's son from chester-le-street"
-
i know some people rate bentley, but i dont see it really. especially for these prices. always found him overrated, just like berbatov.
-
if it was 30%, the transfer would be 16million, which sounds better.
-
20million isnt that outrageous for keane. maybe a couple of years ago it would, but inflation has gone crazy now. jo cost citeh 19million and i'd much rather have keane.
-
Even if Spurs accepted the Villa bid Barry would knock it on the head. Looks like Albelda will be the DM in a couple of days time ....... for £2m apparently. same applies, although it is a lightweight midfield and 3 could take time to adapt, potentially a lot of goals again at WHL next season in both nets Spurs wouldn't be Spurs if it didn't have a leaky defence! maybe both teams are more similar than we thought!!
-
as good as berba and keane are.....you'll have £80mill to play around with. you reckon theyll push ahead for arshavin now??
-
ah yeh, forgot about that. and nobody else realised i posted this in the wrong place....my bad.

might have been mentioned, but jose reyes has rejected us to have talks with monaco. dunno why he'd go to a mid-table french team over a mid-table premiership team.. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_3860061,00.html
