has duff played many games for the reserves since coming back from injury? or has it just been training sessions and the odd first team subs appearance? if not, get him in the reserves to get some match practice then we can tell how much use he can / can't be, especially if it was 'an unprecedented injury' as was claimed he sustained.

LB I think. Aye, he's their number 3, first-choice LB. He has to play man, I miss that ripple of "go onnnnnnnnnnnn" that went around the stadium everytime he received the ball from the 'keeper when he was left-wing. Used to be our main attacking outlet, along with Milner, and they both did alright. They're the type of players we need to be keeping, while the likes of Smith need to be shipped out. ah right, i hope he does stay then, playing LB for france u21's has got to help his game, brings a little more discipline to the going forward that the likes of ginola never had. it can only help him become a more rounded player (not in the micky quinn / andy reid sense)

i don't think he's been injured enough to be on curbishley's ex nufc radar lol. i would like to see charles stay, he's an exciting young player who can only get better, we haven't had many of those for a while.

i did think smith left it a bit late in the day to bring on novo and boyd, darcheville didn't have much support all night.

so cutting back to the chase ... if he was interested in december, it's worth trying again to see if he still is, and preferably before the euro's before the really silly prices come out. that is providing he's a player keegan is interested in in the first place.

Depends how we're going to play. How many PL teams employ a genuine creative 'luxury' playmaker like that? true, i guess we'd have to see how the whole owen contract situation pans out first, he's done well playing 'in the hole' but if he's not going to stay, maybe a beardsley type of playmaker might be as effective 'in the hole'.

if we couldn't get arshavin, what would you fellas think of maybe benayoun or pablo aimar? we definitely need some midfield creativity, and the treatment room at st james is fast becoming 'the emre suite' formerly 'the kieron dyer lounge'

perhaps kev was just trying to shake a bit of the media attention off for next season? granted it might have backfired, but if nobody is expecting us to finish higher than 5th, and he added a few good signings and got the players we have now pulling their finger out a lot more and we did manage to crack the top 4 it would be a great achievement
