  1. aye liverpool haven't had a nice home kit since the old adidas crown paints/candy ones when barnes/rush/aldridge/beardsley were playing
  2. Theres no £15k ceiling man i'm sure i read about a £30k limit a few weeks back
  3. hopefully by a tevez hat trick
  4. if hull go down i'd be tempted to put in a cheeky bid for geovanni because he's only got a year left on his contract. i know he's 30 but he'd be worth signing up for a couple of seasons
  5. Kluivert Why didn't you keep him? Did he want to leave, or was it the club's decision? I followed him in the year he played for you and I thought he did reasonably well given the clueless managing. i'm sure souness around the time his fallout with bellamy was playing an injured kluivert up front with shearer instead of bellamy. i still think we should have kept him on personally, he got 14 goals, which was only 3 shy of oba martins' best scoring season for us
  6. That wasn't a great back 4 like. Carr---bramble---boumsong---babayaro It's like the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse lol
  7. hehehe class i'm gonna listen out for these
  8. Yup remembering it's the world cup this summer so it'll be silly money season again
  9. at least he didn't do a charlie zog strop when the printing folk had him as 'BOUMSOGN' on his debut
  10. yup. very sad to hear. get well soon sir john
  11. iirc he was having family problems too so his confidence was shot to pieces. still wasn't worth £8m of anyone's money like
  12. watching the match on monday i thought nosworthy looked a lot like cacapa
  13. agree with all of this. Nolan started the season well, was crap in the middle, but is ending strongly. the past few games have been his best overall performances, probably because he's alongside Guthrie and he has non-stop runners on the flanks, it takes a bit of pressure off him. Colo has been marvellous at times but there's still nagging doubts here and there, he needs to become more of a dirty b****** like carvalho, little stamps, whacks of the elbow, shirt pulls etc. i mean that in the best way possible, and to do it in a subtle way that won't be punished (easier said than done) but he needs to bully and intimidate strikers from the first minute. Enrique has coasted through the season. i don't think he's ever gotten out of second gear, and that does tell at times - with some sloppy passes for instance, trying to dribble it out each time (which almost always works tbf). far too good for the division, but will need more focus next year. you mean become the archetypal argentine defender?
  14. I'd be surprised, jol's doing well at ajax this season, 2nd in the table, champions league place and only 4pts behind twente. I'd be surprised if he gives that up, would be hardlines on hughton too. I do really rate jol though
  15. i'm proud, chris, colin and the lads have got us promoted at the first time of asking and we could do it in style by winning the division.
  16. that's promotion sorted, now let's go for the title! well done chris and the boys http://cache1.asset-cache.net/xc/98264831.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=77BFBA49EF878921A343B2C87A49D8F5C6B9F36AC74DF46FDAA042F0FD193CF3E15D0F04F9784868
  17. Notts Forrest ^ i bet that alone winds them up no end
  18. Nah, he is still learning his trade man, the lad has made some big strides this season. lets not judge him yet. aye, that ameobi's got some potential good finish, good back heel, would be nice to see him injury free for a while like
  19. He will be trying to poach Thommo for Celtic or just really slow on the uptake and waiting to punch big al up the bracket
  20. depends on who sunderland bring in really. they've got a decent enough basis of a team. a few more quality signings in the summer and they'd do alright. just depends if quinn et al want to give bruce more money to spooge away again. i think they'll stay up because there are worse sides and sides in worse form. we've got the basis of a decent team too, just depends on who else we can bring in. as for the derby next season (if we go up) it really could go either way. i guess they'd probably be favourites now, purely because of the money bruce has spent
  21. i'm from the heed and it's alreet by and large. same as with all towns/cities. good estates / bad estates
  22. i'd settle for another 1-0 to us and the 3 points personally. we've got a habit of pissing things away. hopefully not this time.
