  1. correct me if i'm wrong cos i was just a young 'un at the time but i'm sure beardsley left us in the first place for the same sort of reasons as shay has just done, sick of mediocrity and lack of investment in the team, wanting the team to do well and challenge but nowt being done about it. mind that said liverpool at the time were a great side
  2. why does c. ronaldo have to dive so much? he's talented enough to not have to do it. boils my piss. you don't see messi/tevez/ronaldinho go down and roll around on the deck half as much as ronaldo
  3. i still personally don't think they'll top the good vs. evil in the colluseum one, 'au revoir!' *boom* although the brazil one in the airport was pretty good as was the brazil v portugal one
  4. casino customers still think they might win something soon
  5. a very bad challenge, could have injured him badly but didn't, definitely worthy of a straight red card. a 3 match ban is about right, he's apologised to anichebe and he and moyesy have accepted it, so that should be the end of the matter
  6. we did what the falcons did ages ago, sign englands almost-perma crocked #10
  7. coloccini - more comfortable with the ball at his feet, wanting to play the ball out of trouble. he's not the sort of heading / hoofing central defender
  8. a nice gesture i'm sure sir bobby appreciates it
  9. good to see! hopefully their fanbase becomes known to the club and we get vetere/wise sent out there, maybe find the next berbatov kicking about in his newcastle shirt
  10. and his supply line from the left went whe I wouldn't say it's weird at all. Not when you realise that our best player of the time went out on loan to Celtic and then was sold to Blackburn. Exactly. He missed his mate buzzing about and creating space for him to do his stuff in. No co-incidence at all imo. yup, didn't help when his supply line from the left went too
  11. shearer, i think he offered more to the team than just goals. he could hold the ball up well, was good in the air, won a fair share of free kicks by being a menace, he was a captain who was more of a shouter too
  12. me too, apparently he's very good. he's had a good season ticket this year anyhow lol
  13. whatever happened to that sonny pike kid who ended up at the ajax academy when he was about 8 or so?
  14. older sponsors too newcastle breweries - bought out greenalls - bought out ntl: - bought out not a good idea to be on the front of the newcastle shirt
  15. on the same well known video site there is a class video of paolo maldini's youngest son daniel, aged 5 at the time putting a fantastic sliding tackle in, winning the ball from clarence seedorf
  16. good to see ranger getting an interview
  17. that'd be the way forward if we could get him out of greggs for long enough lol
  18. imagine his team talks, rivetingly charismatic stuff lol hope harper does well, he seems like a top fella and he's waited for so long to be #1
  19. i'd be over the moon if we signed riquelme, but it is probably utter bollocks like
  20. i hope it is just his agent shit stirring, albeit at a terrible time to do so.
  21. yup, i was more getting at how only senna was in his 'proper' position like he plays at villareal and the other midfielders were in not as familiar positions and they were fantastic
  22. yup. terry mac, and his mate who we signed from southampton
  23. phil babb lol i remember when we were linked with him when he was at coventry, i think we dodged a bullet there missing out on the bramble of the '90's
  24. i read that in the chronicle, will probably go down there for the match for old timessake if i remember to get tickets in time
  25. it's a shame like cos adidas could easy knock us out repro's of the 95-97 season shirts and we'd buy them, they eventually did the liverpool 1990 'candy' shirt a couple of years back so it's something they could do
