N'Zogbia: Lyon interested according to agent
nobby_solano replied to TêteDeMaure's topic in Football
i'd like to see him come good for us but the team is so low on confidence at the minute i think he would leave if he got a good offer -
very true, was the same case when we had batty, he complimented barton/bez/peacock/albert quite well i think. made the so called shaky defence a lot more solid
-
batty was a bit like squareball / the crab ray wilkins, mostly sideways passing but bloody good at it and a good tackler.
-
Mhmm. Mascherano is the worlds best at it. aye, he is very good like, i really rate cambiasso in that role for argentina too
-
Dalglish did a great job at Celtic when he was working with John Barnes. fair point lol.
-
i think if shearer did come in, he'd bring dalglish in some sort of capacity to be his mentor / adviser type. i'd much prefer him to come in at a time where the club is a lot more stable with a foundation for him to build on.

when northern rock started sponsoring us, we've not been the same since ntl: was on the shirts another england one... koeman yarking david platt down for a stonewall penalty, getting away with it, then scoring the goal which effectively stopped us qualifying for usa '94. it was the first time in my lifetime that england hadn't even qualified for a major tournament. i was gutted, couldn't believe andy cole hadn't been picked and carlton palmer had -
do i remember seeing ian walker in goal for spurs / leicester giving a bloke who invaded the pitch to taunt him a good cuffing?!

as said before, belgrade, schmeichel /cantona / liverpool in the premiership in '96, germany in italia '90 / euro '96. i think though the worst was sunderland getting promoted after getting beat by swindon and swindon getting demoted for dodgy finances -
i think probably the team but the formation more like: -----------Given Beye--Tayls--Colo--Bass -jonas--Guth---Bart---Duff --------Oba--Shola---
-
where did they expect barton to warm up then? safc fans on 3 sides of the ground, if he'd went to where the nufc fans were he'd have been seen as instigating trouble bypassing mackems too ffs.
-
aye that would be typical, fines for rooney and barton for 'badge kissing' yet sunderland 'fans' can invade a pitch and chuck coins etc yet get away with it that said, rooney shouldn't have done it in front of everton fans to say that club give him his break and he was supposedly a die-hard evertonian
-
definitely, joe really has been a breath of fresh air this season, it would be nice to see him stay on in some sort of role
-
i'll believe it when i see it on the official site, which will probably be just before the 2012 olympics
-
or go for the away shirt then start wearing purple, wearing purple... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=sM1Ahn0Osjo

well lets hope this season is the making of him, it's a dare to be great situation, he's got the ability, we're behind you joey, clean slate, make us proud!
-
bet he's glad zenit knocked spurs back now
-
bellamy can't believe no one has mentioned him yet. it's shite when you think souness ended up making bellamy and robert leave, and effectively ruin kluivert's career
-
definitely, if taylor can keep his concentration up, him and colo would be a good pairing, colo can do on the deck what taylor can't, and taylor is a bit better in the air. i agree with you about terry, imagine colo & woodgate
-
yeah, he was our best by a mile
-
i've gotta say i wasn't too impressed when he came on, i'm sure it looked like he was trying keepy-ups on his own by-line at one point. has carroll had much of a run out in reserves etc since coming back? i would have much rather saw ranger come on from the bench as he's been in cracking form of late
-
well if oba's coming back from injury and starts the game, ranger could come on for a few mins towards the end of the game for a run out, so as to keep martins a bit fresh for saturday
