GET AMEOBI OFF THE PITCH FFS
The fact that he is still on there proves, beyond all shadow of a doubt, that the management simply don't have a clue.
Not a clue.

i expect Bassong to be sold in the summer for £5m and after that Lambias to say that we made a huge profit on this deal and that the money will be spend wisely but of course they will end up in Ashley's pocket, like it happened in January.
Dear me..
Oh and drop Coloccini for Taylor Gallowgate? Why because Taylor's distribution is so great? Coloccini and Bassong are our two best central defenders, Coloccini has been out of form recently but he's still been solid, which is more then I can say for Taylor at centre back (he's been quite good at right back though IMO).
Taylor would be a solid RB on one condition: he stopped playing up front. I brought my mate (Spurs fan) to the game today, and his comment was "Your right back doesn't seem to understand the 'back' part of his job description."
I'm all for the RB making runs up front, but unlike Beye, he's too reluctant to go back. Too busy trying to be that Geordie hero. He needs to mature and realise it's a team game and he is not Kaka 2.0.

Have not seen full match yet, but a really shocking tackle from Nolan - deserves to be suspended for 6 matches, never mind 3...
Completely indefensible, went in deliberately from the side with both feet, almost jumping on the player's leg.
This is probably the reason Nolan was available - he has a tendency to lose it in tackles, and Bolton knew all about that...
In the circumstances, a draw is a creditable result because every point is vital, but Nolan's recklessness will cost the club because his physical presence is useful in midfield - IF it is kept under control...
Not surprised at the high ratings given to Enrique - he's a good player, now starting to prove it more regularly.
I really don't think it was deliberate. It was what, his second career sending off? Doesn't sound ilke someone who regularly loses it.
I think it's one of those horrible events where chance and poor luck creates a horrible looking tackle.
I feel terrible for the Everton guy, and it was a definite red card. Yeah, he probably deserves a 3-game suspension because you can't let tackles like that slide. But it wasn't deliberate or malicious.

Fair play to Nicky today, he played his heart out.
It wasn't very good, but he gave his best. He did what he had to do with Nolan gone, and made some nice passes and crucial interceptions. Even robbed a player or two.
It doesn't make him good enough, and I still don't think he should be anywhere near our starting line up.
But he deserves a pat on the back for today.

Our midfield when fit is more than good enough. Unfortunately, they're always injured, suspended or in prison.
Any midfield that might consist of any of Butt, Duff and Smith isn't good enough. Our midfield, even when fit, are one dimensional snails.
Barton, Guthrie, Nolan, Jonas.
That's fine by me. And Duff can a strong player, he's just not showing it. I blame management and tactics for that - I think the talent's still there.
Smith's not a midfielder, and never was. Should be a striker at another club - we have too many.
And Butt's just past it.
But I think we have four quality midfielders in the first four, with average backup. Just like our defence - four quality defenders with an average backup in S Taylor.
-
I thought he was excellent again today and he's shown a lot of bottle to take the s*** that's been thrown at him by his manager and prove him wrong.
Our back four when fit are more than good enough, we just need to sort out the midfield in front of those and we'll be OK.

He's been top quality in the last two games I've been two - Sunderland and Everton - especially Sunderland.
Growing in confidence and I've really noticed I think he's picking up tips from Bassong. They way he's just timing his pushes to outmuscle others and win the ball is really something he started to do when Bassong arrived, and something I'm sure he's learned from him.
Good times. Man of the match today, for me.

i think i might go to watch the reserve's when there next at home as i haven't seen some of these kids in the flesh
something to cling on is the fact we might have some players that can break through into the first team eventually
I have a Season Ticket. Does this get me in free? Is it at SJP?
I've never got to a reserve game, so I need help lol

How about a player manager?
Michael Owen? Nicky Butt? Steve Harper? Geremi? Cacapa? Barton? Nolan? Steven Taylor? Beye?
None really qualified for a manager job though
Steven Taylor as Player Manager?
Jesus Christ.
-
I gotta say, okay, we're not signing Owens anymore, but we're spending wisely.
Bassong, Gutierrez, Taylor, Lovenkrands?
We actually made a profit out of them off N'Zogbia alone.
This is good transfer activity.
We're getting good players in for cheap. Them not grinding out results is not a reflection of their quality, but the management on the day. Look at who Robson had standing at the Nou Camp. These players are better than that.
-
And to think we won without: Jonas, Owen, Martins, Beye, Barton and Guthrie?
Good shout out to the team, minus Butt and Shola, but especially to the others since they had to make up for them.
-
xisco comin on!?
Well I never.
-
14 mins left, heart attack time
dont tell joe.
-
How bad are our coaching staff if they cannot see that Viduka > Ameobi right now?
-
Agree with your list but would put Nolan somewhere and get rid of Geremi
Unfortunately, Geremi's number of assists makes that difficult.
-
OK, I think we'll go:
Harper
S Taylor - Coloccini - Bassong - Enrique
R Taylor - Nolan - Butt - Duff
Ameobi - Martins
Subs: Krul, Edgar, Geremi, Smith, Viduka, Carroll, Lovenkrands
Half-decent looking bench for the first time in a while...
Where's Jonas?
-
Vuckic taken off at half time.
Damn.
-
Where do physioroom get all their information from?
From the clubs, I believe.
-
Why we waited until last time is I don't get it at all.
Happens every window.
They sit down in the last 24 hours, bid for a few people, get rejected, then.
Mike: "Oh well, more money for me."
Joe: "****'* ****s why can't they *** ******* ****s ****">
Derek: "So, let me get this straight, the transfer window is what exactly?"
Ameobi: "..."
-
Could do though - he was linked in summer.

1505: Another colleague just spoke to Newcastle. They know nothing about an extraordinary proposed swap with Spurs of Obafemi Martins and Darren Bent. As for other possible signings today, we are told a big, fat zero. I'd continue to watch this space, however.
Where's that from?
