  1. Harper 6 - Reasonably solid.

Taylor 7 - Good as RB.  Much more confident than at CB.  Keep him there.

Colo 7 - Well defended most of the time, no errors.

Bassong 8.5 - Absolutely brilliant - so confident, just robbed attackers of the ball and WHAT A TACKLE!

Jose Enrique 8 - Best I have ever seen him perform.  Massively confident at LB, and some amazing skills going forward - looked like Robinho in the corner skipping around all pressure.  Passing was, occasionally, woeful though.

Duff 4 - Pretty poor game, to be honest.  Looked tired.

Butt 6.5 - One of Butt's better games.  A few mistakes, but got a good few tackles in and some nice passing.  Unlucky to be booked, as well.

Nolan 7 - Strong debut.  Didn't really stand out, but he did a good job.  Competant, and I think he will excel with Guthrie/Barton and not having to cover for Butt.

Jonas 8.5 - His final ball was all that was missing.  Terrified the Sunderland defence with some amazing runs.  Took about six massive knocks and still kept feckin' running.  Hero.

Ameobi 6 - Awful in the first half.  Better in the second, actually ran a little.  Still no end product.  Great penalty, though.

Carrol 7.5 - This guy is gonna be good.  Stood up to pressure, nearly nabbed himself a great goal.  Shouldn't have  been subbed, though he had taken a knock shortly before.

    Lovenkrands 5 - Didn't really do anything.

    Edgar - N/A

    Our ground, our rules. :knuppel2:

Thats stupd, Lua Lua should be just behind Krul, not just in front. otherwise that would be my first XXII as well.

Wow depressing, 22 players and only a half dozen of them I would have start for us

Got a better formation for ya.

    Ranger

    1-0 Toon, (Ranger 5).

    Sent Off, (Ranger 6)

    Haha, that's wicked.

    NUFC: Ranger

SAFC: Fulop, Bardsley, Ferdinand, Collins, McCartney, Malbranque, Whitehead, Tainio, Reid, Cisse, Jones

    Score: 1-0 (Ranger, 2 mins)

  3. The Sunderland game and the close of the transfer window could well spell the end of my close following of NUFC.

I just can't see us winning, and if we do, it'll be an ugly, skin-of-our-teeth affair.

What hope is there right now?  We have an owner with ZERO ambition, our top players either don't care or just get injured over and over again.  Shay is right, it's time to jump ship.  I love this club.  I adore the atmosphere, the fans, St James' is without rival in the Premier League for stirring up that feeling of excitement.

But guys, call me a coward, but this just hurts to much.  Seeing us roll over, the injuries come in, the decisions going against us, and seeing Clueless Kinnear backed by a Fat Man with no ambition just breaks my heart.

We'll not lose at SJP to the Mackems, if we do, it'll be the end.  If we don't sign at least two more players this window, I'm just gonna stop.  Sell the rest of my season ticket and find another club to follow casually.  I can't wait for the kids to come through and hopefully soon Newcastle will return to pride, and I'll be there.  But, like Shay, I love the club but cannot continue with it right now.

You know it's going too far when you sit in the whole night, distraught and depressed cause of the situation.  Mike Ashley: when will you understand that your wallet more than cash?  It holds the keys to the hearts of a people.

I never thought I'd see Given leave.  I never thought I'd see us show this little ambition.  It's like we're trying to get relegated.  I considered that maybe relegation would be beneficial, but it wouldn't.  The only way to save the club is for Ashley to step aside to someone who truly cares, and 'gets it' and get a quality manager in.  And switch that damned training ground.  Will that happen?  No.  So why stick around and endure the pain?  Like I said, where is the hope?

I know I'll never be able to support another team the way I do Newcastle, but I think I might root for Villa for a while.  It's great to see a genuine, passionate team pushing at the top with average players just playing football without massive financial backing.  They're everything we should be.

Sheppard, Ashley, Llambias, Wise, Souness, Allardyce, Guillet and, yes, Keegan's second coming.  It's destroyed the pride from Robson's tenure.  Destroyed it.

I just can't pretend like I support it any longer.  NUFC, I will support to the day I die and shout my heart out for any player donning the shirt who truly cares.  But this club stinks to the core of poor management and corruption.

As for the Mackem game, I predict 1-2.

    Duff - Jones, Richardson

Injuries: Bassong, Jonas will get injured. (Laugh, but I feckin' predicted Barton's injury before tonight's match.)

Sorry for the depression, just had to clear my head.

  4. 6-0 City.

    Nah, come on.

7-0 City and Barton to break his metatarsal.

LuaLua will come on for him, look fantastic for 21 minutes, then be stretchered off.

We'll concede two penalties, Colocinni will get sent off and Robinho will not get booked despite a blatant dive.

Harper will let in two easy goals and we'll despair.

Whatever happens, I'll either have a sick satisfaction that I predicted it that well or I'll be happy it wasn't as bad as I'd feared.  Win win.

  5. Wake up, Joe.. Jose is good enough!

I'd be seriously pissed if we get rid of him this window.. even if we bring in another left back

He is the weakest member of our first team, him and Butt.

Bullshit. Absolute unfounded bullshit. Soz like, but it's my opinion.

    Which bit? Enrique or Butt?

Please don't tell me you rate Butt, i might cry.

 The Enrique bit obviously mate. The boy can play football. Some people will not give him a chance though.

He's not a world-beater - he's not as good as Beye on the other side, but he's a LOT better than anyone else in the position.

Selling him without a better option would be suicidal.

  6. It gets media coverage, if done well.  It's not the kind of press Ashley or Wise etc. wants, and puts pressure on them to change things.  They may say it doesn't, but it really does.

We should have a massive protest outside SJP for the next game at City.  Chances are it'll get on SSN or whatever, since we're bothering to protest even though they're playing elsewhere.
