how are we a selling club? the only players who leave are ones who are very unhappy or crap. i cant think of anybody who we have sold purely for the profit. Given for one. The club seem more than happy to let him go (even though he wants to, I know). Plus every player is available for sale if rumors are to be true.

I don't mind selling if the finances dictate it, but the money has to be re-invested well. But we shouldnt be wanting to sell our best players like Given. Zogg is fine as hes a prick, but not priceless players like Shay. He's turned us into a selling club imo, and he'll do whats right for his finances, not NUFC.

At fault for Carroll's goal, too. Always thought he's overrated. Why is he scared from putting the ball anywhere near his right foot? Very one footed player. I hate seeing that in a player. Even if he can use the outside of his foot its still not good. You have twice the space on a football pitch with two good feet.

Tbh, I think we need to get another CM in first. Veloso maybe? (doubt it). Then a LB. If we were to get rid of either Viduka, Xisco and/or Ameobi, then I'd go hunting for a striker. And as someone else said in this thread Kevin Doyle would be canny. But we must be careful not to buy so much that we block out our youth players even more. Instead of buying a new RW, we can just use Lua Lua. Simple. And instead of buying another target man we might as well play Andy Carroll up there for the rest of the season and see how he does. He's got two goals already and Im sure theres a few more in him. We've got to give these youngs lads a chance to blossom. But in saying that we must also get the right blend of experience and class that will help the younger lads.

Zoggy was supposedly off to Fulham a few seasons ago few only £3m or something like that. So to get 6m plus a good player for him now is just great news. All we need now is another CM and a LB if we can....then we'll be looking half decent.

Cut the guy some lack, man. He's served us for 11 years and has been our most consistent performer in that time. He deserves somewhere where he'll win things. Anyway, hats off to the negotiators. Much better than the Shepherd/Hall regime. I thought he was going to City? Well with their money/ambitions their going places much quicker than us. I know theres not a massive difference atm between ourselves and City, but next season we'll probably notice it quite a bit more...
