We should go all out to win this one, imo. A HOME tie against either Millwall or Crewe is just too good to turn down. I'd go with the team that started Vs West Ham. Maybe replace Jonas with Lua Lua? Thing is, if Jonas is 1 booking away from a ban, and we have sunderland looming- what do you do?- He just cant miss that.

The club record for returning from the operation Martins is having is 11 days (Harper). He may be back in 2 or 3 weeks. Carr took 6 weeks. Aye Carr took his f*cking time on a lot of things, didnt he?

The team sort of picks itself in some places at the moment though, doesnt it? Very thin squad and little options. But yes, Kinnear is way out of his depth.

Why would we ever want to push Given further away from the club as it is? He's a world-class keeper who actually cares about this club. N'Zogbia is completely the opposite and has done little to deserve a big money move to someone like Arsenal. We all know Shay deserves better...

Sounded like he had a pretty quiet game today. He's been a bit too quiet lately and we need some of his spark to get us going at times. But still, he works his bollocks off which is a lot more than some of our other players.

N'Zogbia is a cocky little prick. Previous to this, I felt very reluctant to lose him but now I just want him gone. Yes, we have a tiny squad and we need everyone we can get, but hes clearly a bad influence in the camp and why have a player in a RELEGATION BATTLE in your team. There is no point in it. He thinks way too much of himself as it is....he should take a leaf out of Bassongs book. Plus, its probably just a load of bullshit hype from his agent. If anyone does actually have an interest in him its Villa, but I cant see him leaving this January. Anyway, our main objectives should be to keep Shay and get some midfielders in. Charles is the least of our worries, imo.

With the league table still so tight its impossible to tell who's going to go down. The only obvious contender I can think of is West Brom. Blackburn will pick up and Man City wont stay there with the quality they currently have......its anyones game. But Im feeling very depressed about NUFC atm. And when you look at the rest of our home game to come, it sends anything but positive feelings.

I must say, I will not be happy if we sign Kris Boyd. Him and Ameobi upfront sets for quite a bleak future....

Its simple really: Safe standing sections. We've already got a singing section and it has improved the atmosphere at SJP, even if its not a massive difference. Why the FA wont listen to the fans is beyond me.....all they need to do is follow Germany's example of safe standing and we'll be in business. The Safe Standing would be a bit like non-allocated tickets. For the simple reaon that all the singers would go and apply to stand in the SS section, while all the singers would just huddle together in the non-alloctaed sections....except with more hassle! Safe Standing for me.

Does anyone else think it would be nice to have a 1 year home strip memorial for the 69 Fairs cup winners? A money making scheme yes, but it would be nice to look back on something we've won. Happier times an all that shite.

We still lost 1-5 despite Shay's excellent performance which highlights the desperate need for players in other areas of the field. If selling Shay enables us to shore up our defence and sign a decent CM then it's a no brainer for me. I'd love him to stay but what's the point in having an outstanding goalkeeper playing behind an average defence and a s*** midfield? I'd much rather have quality throughout the team which should negate the need for an outstanding goalkeeper. But having Joe Kinnear spend that money really doesnt fill me with confidence. He'll just bring in average Championship players and shitty Premiership players that are past it and no one wants. Nothing good. Plus, if Mike Ashley is a man to his word, then he'll be investing this January.... HIMSELF. Although I wouldnt be at all surprised if Joe was told he has to sell before he can buy. But anyway, the bottom line is that I wouldnt sell Shay to generate funds. That will just make things worse.

I'd like to see our new strip with more stripes on it.....a bit more traditional. And no more of these bloody black squares on the backs for the numbers and name to go. Its just not Newcastle, imo. A mixture between this seasons one and our old home one from 2004-05 season with the blue Northern Rock sponsor would be nice!

What the heck is wrong with some people? Shay puts on an incredible performance on the weekend that ultimately saves us from losing 1-11, he's the only one who actually does care about the current mess we find ourselves in. Most of the others i.e Mr. Owen just want to bail out and find a better pay check! Plus, Given's one of the greatest players to ever wear a Newcastle shirt, imo. Some people just cant be satisfied. If any of our keepers is to go then Harper should. I realyl like Harper as well but he's getting on in years as well and he's the one who deserves 1st team football. But if he's happy to play Shay's understudy then send Krul out on a season loan to Feyenoord or wherever the f*ck he wants to go. But in saying all this, if Shay wanted to leave, I'd let him go. He's been through enough in the last few years and deserves to play in a good team that will win trophys.

The amount of money these bastards are paid a week they could at least TRY! It doesnt matter who their playing against, they just cant churn out those performances, its not acceptable. If a person working in any other job gave such sh*t effort and had such a foul attitude they'd be sacked. These guys are clearly different. I'm so angry and upset at this performance, I've been reduced to tears.
