He seemed to have his mind made up before it even went in- he went straight for our fans with his arms out. I'm not saying he definitely meant it, but it wouldn't be surprised. He was obviously finding a way to get back at us for the chants.

    Steve McClaren

He's not going to achieve much with us, but no manager will under this regime, that's just the way it is. He's the best we're going to get tbh- and so far I like his attempts to get us playing some decent 'ball; he knows how to build a system around the likes of Janmaat, Wijnaldum etc. He won't ever have a 'squad' to work with, it will be a decent 11 with a couple of ok subs but otherwise the remaining will be utter bile like Gouffran, Williamson etc.
  3. Still crushed by this. It's going to be a long, miserable week.
  4. Even at 10 men we could have made it 1-1 with Mitrovic. We created enough chances- but unlike the mackems- didn't take any of them. Sky sports have a totally uneducated and delusional way of publishing football; that if you have more possession and don't win it's some sort of shock, undeserved loss. It doesn't work that way. But in saying that, we had more possession, chances and were better than them except for finishing- whi ch ultimately matters the most. However you dissect it, it's nearly impossible to stomach yet another defeat. I'm still angry at Pardew etc but not at McClaren.
  5. We'll be ok but our season is very quickly turning into another one of nothingness and a pointless existence.

90% of our time dominating the mackems, in a general sense, was part of an era where we challenged for trophies and made it into European competition- both Champions League and UEFA Cup- whilst playing an exciting brand of football with iconic players. Now, their dominance is a direct result of our hugely corrupt and inept regime. It also coincides with a hugely underambitious time in their history where they are viewed as a joke of a club by the country now- scraping to survival each year, whilst they only ever turn up in the news after a laughable losing streak or, as we know by now, when they best us. Their dominance against us will represent a time in their history where they played an appalling standard of football, reflecting their ambitions on the field too- pouring their heart into bearing NUFC and surviving in the PL (in that order). Imo, we are suffering the worst period of managemen/ownership in NUFC's history, and it is no coincidence that we are now on the humiliating end of this '6 in a row' record they hold over us- and thanks to Ashley/Pardew, this is a shackle around our neck which will never be forgotten. It will take the club years and years to even come close to erasing the pain of this era (both in and away from Derby day), that it upsets me with each passing day.
  7. Had a long sleep and woken up thinking this was just a bad dream. This club is a bad dream. They've beaten us 6 times in a row....what the fuck. They are such a horrible, worthless club, yet they have managed that.
  8. Wasn't a peno or red btw- fucking scandalous decision. But our lack of quality from wide areas left us vulnerable to that counter attack. In saying that, we should have had a peno right before it. Everything that could go wrong today did, but we didn't do ourselves any favours.
  9. I agree. The resignation off a lot of fans is nothing short of massively depressing. Our season now depends on two derby matches, yet we get battered in each one we play- and people just shrug it off and somehow convince themselves that 'next time their dead'. How? Why? Based on what? Personally, I am fucking dreading next March because I know that it will most likely be 7 in a fucking row. Either that or we'll pinch a draw and they'll get relegated without us having the last laugh. There is simply no excuse. We should have been 1-0 up before the penalty anyway. We were toothless today despite having a lot of the ball- not cutting edge. Yes, the ref was a total disgrace but we still didn't score. Lads...We didn't even score. Again. Ironically, my interest in the club will- once I emerge from this depression the latest catastrophe has put me into- wane considerably until the next derby. We will probably stay up, but we will also lose in the 3rd round of the FA Cup, with the possibility of selling in January. Just like our cringe worthy, obsessive, cuntish neighbours, we only have 2 matches of any form of meaning now- and we get humiliated in them each time. When will this Ashley era just end... I would do anything.
  10. Why didn't he just hit that shot across the keeper.....why. would have been 1-1. Why. Why. Why.
  11. We wont go down, but I genuinely couldn't give a fuck if we do. What difference does it make?
  12. did you watch the game? this seems like an emo note to failure from someone who didn't watch what unfolded Yeah, I watched it until 2-0. The referee was terrible yes, but I think looking at the referee is just a sidenote. Pre-Pardew/Ashley Newcastle teams 1-0 down and a man down would have fought back to a 1-1 against a team as pitiful as that, s*** ref or not. looking at the referee is a sidenote? you've all lost it, totally lost it like You'd have a point if we'd lost 1-0. It is a sidenote, as I've said, pre Pardew/Ashley teams would have fought back for a draw in that situation against a team as s*** as that. Do you disagree with that point? I thought we did try to fight back, should have equalised but then ended up conceding more goals while chasing the game. Pretty hard to fight back when you are behind and down to 10 men. If the score was 0-0 then that's a different matter, we could just took a striker off and defended. This is what I said aye, we came back well enough but the second goal was a sucker punch, it doesn't render the rest of the performance invalid. It's the point I'm making about this losing mentality we have in the club though. It used to be unacceptable, now it seems excusable. Totally agree.
  13. Eh? We completely dominated the game with 11 men and could easily have been 2 or 3 up. But we weren't 2 or 3 up. man. Please stop being a tool. Exactly. We had 45mins to go 1-0 up and we couldn't. They took their chances and we didn't. No matter which way you look at it it's a truly disgraceful result and, in the past when the club actually had dignity, this result was a sackable offence. Any loss to these cunts was.

    Steve McClaren

Only thing I'd blame him for was not starting Anita over Colback. We could have got Anita dropping in between or to the side of our CB's and got both Janmaat and Dummet bombing on to pin them back giving Gene and Perez more space. Otherwise there wasn't much he could do, especially after the red.
  15. We didn't score. We had 45mins to score before their joke penalty. Yes we had a lot of the ball ut that doesn't mean shit in football if you don't score. A fucking disgrace of a result. 6 in a row is something that they'll never ever live down. It will be years until we can even say 2 in a row- or simply score against them. Final ball simply wasn't gold enough, there weren't enough runs from midfield beyond the ball to get in behind, whilst the decision to start Colback was abysmal. Yes, we were absolutely screwed over, but at the end of the day we've lost to these cunts yet again- and badly. They couldn't lose against us if they tried.
  16. Just looked at their team sheet and am now sick with nerves. Hard to ever forgive myself from saying that, absolutely tragic. Please, please don't lose.
  17. Sky's coverage of this is amongst the worst I've ever seen for a single derby match. When they did cover it, the pleasure and bias they took in the mackems recent record was absolutely embarrassing. No mention of what horrendous cunt was manager for the majority of those. I fucking hate Sky Sports, I really do.
  18. Hopefully Fay Sam will be as negative as them as he was with us.

not this again. After the 5-1. Wasn't their catch phrase 'we're the more classy club'? Always going on about class FFS Cultured sunderland fans?! What is this s***?! So cultured that they racially abused their best players mum a few years back and, in the same season (?), attacked our keeper after they scored a jammy last minute winner. That's but to name a couple! Without sounding like them, the majority of mackems I've encountered have been complete shitheads- especially when it comes to football, it hurts to have a conversation with them. Please, please fucking win this Sunday
  20. Just want it to be over with at this stage. The week of dread and nerves leading up to this fixture- nowadays especially- is awful. Aside from Elliot, we're actually I'm a good position going into this, but I just feel that new manager bounce and the luck they've had in recent derbys will get them a win. They always seem to want it more as well, they'll always have a massive chip on their shoulder. Our sincere negativity under Pardew amounted to one win (1-0) in 8 games against these inbreds, so we might as well go out and try for once to be positive and outplay them. We have the better players after all. Tiote and Colback simply can't play, but the chances are they will both start, with Perez---Wijnaldum---Sissoko ahead of them. Absolutely pointless pairing. Please just don't fucking lose. Just don't fucking lose to the worst team in the country, please. I can't take it anymore.
  21. My hands are sweating with nerves just reading this thread. Surely McClaren knows Allardyce inside out at this stage, as I'm sure most English managers would know each other's tendencies, and will realise that our biggest problem may come from wide areas. Pressing them up high would help prevent them getting the ball to their wingers and Full Backs and even allow us to turn the ball over in their half/third. We have the better players and team, as always, but you just can't call it. I'm expecting a loss tbh, why would we expect anything else at this stage? I just want it to be over already. I'd take a draw, but considering we haven't beaten them in so long, that would irk me. But let's be realistic, they have John O'Shea and Wes Brown vs Perez and Mitrovic.....we have a chance. Oh, and don't play Tiote (& Colback).

I just can't believe we STILL have to fear them It's absolutely horrendous like Unlike last year I think there will be goals from both teams. We basically have to go there and be very willing to impose our game on them and attack. Get Janmaat bombing forward and allow Sissoko to come inside. If needs be we can match them for directness by playing into Mitrovic, as he's a quality target man. They will be full of aggression and incredibly direct, playing balls on top of Coloccini and down the channels. We must be strong and pick up second balls quickly and avoid giving away corners and set pieces- even in their half as they will put everyone forward and all of a sudden we're defending our penalty area. Normally I would say sit in and hit them on the break, but that will invite balls launched into our area. We simply have to defend better from wide areas. Shitting it myself, but there is simply no reason why we can't win.
