  1. Anita all the time but just get the ball down and play instead?

    3-5-2

Yeah, it's more about the system you play and the personnel you have to fit it. We don't even have a system to begin with.

    3-5-2

3 at the pack under Pardew Anything other than 4-4-2 under Pardew  Any why the hatred towards 4-2-3-1? I don't understand.
  4. Has any one seen the film One Night In Turin? Is it worth a watch like?
  5. Honestly, fuck this guy. How can he take himself seriously?! Fucking rank bastard.
  6. Atmosphere is totally futile anyway. 10,000 empty seats won't make a big difference atmospherically.

    Kevin Keegan

Woah woah woah, slow down. You make a good point.
  8. Mugs the mackems are. How can they enjoy a cup final when they've not recorded a profit of £9.9m and aren't on course for a top 10 finish?
  9. To be fair, he can do that and often does. His delivery and first touch just makes for inconsistency. If we're gonna play 4-4-2 it's Gouffran who should drop out with Hatem coming in. He has the athletic attributes to play such a role, but as you reaffirmed, he doesn't have the technical proficiency to do so (to consistent effect). I do agree that his ball control and decision making are obvious flaws in his game, but the fact that they have got progressively worse makes me believe that Pardew has had a massive defect on his game. I wouldn't play him in the middle ahead of Anita who is by far our best central midfielder. If we could use him in the centre or off the front man, his ability to make powerful runs might help us get in behind defences for once, as he's not able to dictate play like someone of Anita's nature. But imo it ultimately comes down to the managers complete inability to get the best out of his players, and Sissoko is a prime example. A defensive 4-4-2- very rigid, static, and direct system is all Pardew knows, and as you see time and again with the best managers they implement a system that gets the best out of their best players, in other words they find a way to accomodate their most effective. Ash was telling me the other day how Guardiola devised his Barcelona system completely around Messi, it was constructed to maximise his devastating ability. 14 trophies later. Pardew isn't capable or interested in this, and this is why players like Ben Arfa and Marveaux will (be forced to) leave in the summer, and the likes of Santon, Sissoko, etc. will continue to wane.
  10. Lazio fans certainly know how to stand up for their club... http://m.ultras-tifo.net/photo-news/2276-lazio-sassuolo-23022014.html
  11. I think criticism of him is justified as his performances have levelled out as very average and he's now a largely ineffective player for us. His attributes as a player simply don't comply with the requirements of the old-school wingers Pardew employs in his 4-4-2; they must be able to get up and down the line, protect their full back (as we know...), beat a player- get to the byline- and whip in a cross. He can't do that, and barely ever has for us. It's no coincidence that his best game for us came against Chelsea in that amazing 3-2 last year when he was playing in the middle, or off Cisse. He ran that game for us. And that's where he made his name in France, not being stuck out on the bloody wing- and left wing as well. Look at his goal this season against West Brom; an absolute belter as he tore through the middle. But as we all know at this stage, he's preferred there over someone like Ben Arfa because he's a big powerful chap who's athletic ability allows him to cover a lot of ground and 'protect' his full back- not like we have two defensive midfielders to do that! The guy has been completely and utterly Pardewed.
  12. And that picture; what a fucking asshole man. Has he not realised the amount of negative records he has plummeted through for this club? Look at your derby record you fucking cunt, look at what you have ever won as a manager and keep your ugly bastard head down and be grateful your within spitting distance of a club like Newcastle United.
  13. First time I've ever found myself potentially happy to see us lose, purely to see that this cunt doesn't escape from pressure. He once again bought himself more time. His comments post-match were disgraceful and small time. As some journo on Twitter said, he shows no class or humility with the press, unlike Hughton, which is why he isn't liked and Chris is. Said he's got a chip on his shoulder and that is completely true.

    La Liga 14/15

Bloody hell, Betis are in real bother. Lost 0-2 at home to Bilbao and had two players sent off. Rock bottom with 14 pts and 11 adrift. Not looking good. Although, they're in the knock outs of the UEFA, managed a draw with Rubin Kazan the other night Shame though, I do like them. Passionate set of fans.
  15. I'd honestly be surprised if we win more than one or two games this season. We have some tough games coming up and a poor squad playing under a woeful manager. To me, staying up this year is simply delaying the inevitable relegation of next year. We'll lose the fulcrum of our squad this summer and it's highly unlikely we'll replace all of them, or match that quality. We won't have our jail breakers I.e Cabaye to get us out of trouble anymore. The second half of this season will/has been testement to that. To add insult to a gaping wound, we have te worst manager in the league who will hide behind any excuse he can muster, whilst sucking on Ashley's balls. Can't see any hope for us unless we are sold and a complete overhaul takes place. Fuck me, I am such a negative bastard
  16. Think I'm just going to watch it somewhere in Toon, not going to matches anymore as painful as it is, but there's literally no point. My interest in this game has been lowered considerably since the club dismissed the rumours that if we lose Pardew is gone. I almost hope we lose tbh, just for people to maybe finally realise that we've got to make a stand.
  17. He's the worst I've ever seen at NUFC, by some distance. Roeder was a lot better than this guy, and you could argue he was working with a considerably weaker (or limited) squad. He did fantastic to take us to the FA Cup 1/4's and finish 7th in his interim season, but then struggled the next season as we finished 14th (I think) after the bank had dried up for Freddie. In that season we drew with Arsenal away, beat Liverpool at home, and got that remarkable draw at home to Man Utd with a team full of bairns. We also reached the UEFA Cup 1/4's, and tried to play decent football whenever possible. We had some horrendous matches too, I won't glorify the man; Charlton, Sheff Utd, Blackburn at home being particularly poignant. But he did beat the mackems......4-1. Then the likes of Hughton; installed a fantastic attitude, humility, and spirit into the club. He got us promoted, forged a very effective system for the players at his disposal and was successful with it. We beat the mackems 5-1 under him (then Arsenal away a week later). The final straw for him was that game at WBA, which was horrendous, but Pardew has overseen worse- see last 3 derbies.... Night on wasn't afraid, he wasn't a spineless coward who lived to serve his master, he cared about the club and it's supporters. He did far, far more for this club than AP has, and is a good man. Christ, even Souness got us to an FA Cup Semi-final- taking it to Spurs and Chelsea along the way- and a UEFA cup 1/4. He was awful. But he even beat the mackems 3-2. All of the above had their faults, some more glaring than others. Most weren't a lot better than average, but the point of my fairly aimless rant is to highlight just what an awful person Pardew is, and just how insulting he is to us as fans, and our clubs history and traditions. I truly hate the man. He has drained any form of excitement from this clubs life and along with Ashley has us where he wants us; in that straight jacket of mediocrity. We don't play our best players, we don't want to win anything, we play a dire brand of football, we're being lectured that losing to our bitterest lessors is acceptable and will become the norm. We have the f***ing p*ss ripped out of us by Pardew and Ashley and they don't give a f*** as long as they make the last buck out of us. I won't ever go back to SJP as long as both Ashley and Pardew are there.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Was talking to an ex-academy player the other day. He said when he trained with the first team last year he literally couldn't believe how bad Gosling was. Apparently they did some shooting practice and Dan only got about 5 of 40 shots on target, he was totally dumbfounded as to how he was anywhere near a PL side. Pardew really likes him too, as well apparently. Depressing.
  19. You look at all that SD graffiti around the stadium, you look at the back of your season ticket and see it has SD logos on it, you see during matches our nazi stewards trying to eject people from the match because they're standing, or standing in a different seat to be with their mates, you read the Kevin Keegan thread on here and read about the ambition and passion that man had and gave this club, you watch the incredible football we played under Sir Bobby, too- the fast attacking brand with heroes such as Shearer. And then you look at where we are now- our most talented player being forced out by a manager who epitomises everything that is wrong about our club nowadays, who represents and enforces this totally unjust and poisonous regime, and who contradicts everything great about this clubs history. Why the f*** bother anymore? We don't matter.
  20. Just read an article by an ex-Cardiff City fan who now follows Dulwich Hamlet FC in the lower leagues- primarily due to Vincent Tan's destruction of CCFC, but also due to the 'passive consumer' matchday experience, extortionate ticket prices, and the general staleness of the PL. It really has made me think what is the point in bothering again? We follow a club that doesn't want to win anything, the matchday experience even at SJP is completely mundane, as 'fans' we are completely insignificant in the grand scheme of things, simply making up the numbers so the big rich boys can play. I know football in general at the elite level has taken a turn for the worst, but the PL is by far the most sterile league of them all. And following a club within that is now completely soulless makes it even more pointless. It's a fucking joke.
