  1. I'm just going to ignore this until I seen no Danny Simpson in our team.
  2. Propa lil' gangsta this fella. Love him! I love the way people were writing him off and saying 'get rid' after about 3 sub appearances and 1 start for us after being riddled with injuries- long term ones as well! Fickle (or ignorant) doesn't even begin! Anyway, played a blinder today. Was a constant outlet for us today, dropped deep to receive it, turn and play, whilst played very well between the lines I thought; dropping into space and causing Arsenal all sorts of problems. His pass for Ba's second was just breathtaking! Technically perfect. Hopefully after Wednesday and today there's no way Pardew cant play him, especially with Ben Arfa out. IF Ba leaves, I'd love to see us line up as: -----------Anita--------Bigirimana---------- ------Ben Arfa------Cabaye-----Marveaux------ -----------------------Cisse---------------- I think that would be amazing. But saying that, I'd do everything to keep Demba.
  3. Just looking at the fixtures for the next game week. A result against Everton is imperative given that all the teams in and around us are either hosting or travelling to very tough teams. More points will be lost than gained and this is a chance to really give ourselves more room to breath. Everton are a very good team, though. In a few weeks time we'll be playing Reading and Aston Villa in the space of a few days- that week could really, really make or break things. 6 points is crucial from those two games, I don't think we should settle for anything less. I think we'll stay up. I feel that despite a threadbare squad and a host of injuries, we've got a lot more firepower and creativity than the team that went done those years ago, plus a bit a resilience for once. We just have to hope that Pardew can keep his hand off the self destruct button and Ashley invests. As I said, I think we'll make it, but 6 points (just two wins) from our last 10 games is very worrying reading.
  4. His composure on the ball tonight was so impressive.
  5. I'm watching Moneyball, Mike and Dekka definitely watch this too much.
  6. What shouldhappen: Ashley will make a final investment and buy two new defenders to see us over the line and safe so to protect the sell on value of the club. In the summer Ashley will try his hardest to sell the club, be realistic for what he can get price-wise and pass it on. The new owner will sack Pardew, bring in a competent manager who believes in playing slick, attacking football on the deck. St. James' Park will be sterilised of all Sports Direct signage from top to bottom. The squad will be heavily invested in and we'll rebuild and become a real force next season. What will happen: None of the above. The complete opposite, in fact.

I can't fault him for today apart from his Bigirimana substitution. I think we could have been more positive after each equaliser.
  8. After that first half performance to lose 7-3 just doesn't add up- but that's what you get against teams like Arsenal when you play with only two actual defenders. We just don't seem to have the collective concentration and ability to defend properly, especially after we score. Overall, excellent performance only undone by a lack of investment reiterating the incompetence by certain defenders.
  9. Bigi showed him how it's done today. Cheiks distribution and mistake for the 3rd (or 4th?) goal was unforgivable. Bigirimana and Anita together please.
  10. I don't know why he took Bigi off, Tiote's been very poor all game. That decision alone has left us a lot more exposed now. I think Arsenal could bag another one before this ends.
  11. Fuck sake. Our inability to hold onto a lead (level scoreline) is just demoralising at this stage. Very encouraging with regards to our attacking play but defensively we are shocking.
  12. With Williamson out of the equation then our chance of getting something out of this game has improved considerably. I've always admired Perch at CB (although he's been fantastic for us wherever needed), his calmness on the ball will certainly be a nice welcome- unlike that flailing baboon who treats it as a time bomb! Hopefully Pardew plays Marveaux from the start and encourages a really positive attitude, because despite all they have going forward in the likes of Walcott, Wilshire, Corzola etc. they are exceptionally fragile at the back and we definitely have the ability to score against them. It's just a matter of how tight we can keep it. Not expecting for much, but once again just hoping.

    Alan Pardew

don't believe this for a second myself, if we signed debuchy and douglas on 1st january i don't think it'd change his approach one iota
  14. This is going to be absolute torture! Williamson Vs Van Persie Dear lord...

    Alan Pardew

He's done enough to deserve a fair crack, but agree, there are no guarantees he will be able to deliver week-in, week-out against opposition that aren't QPR or 10-man Wigan. In terms of style though, he is the closest we have to a HBA/Cabaye back-up. Makes no sense not to play him in games we're trying to win. How do you know he won't be able to consistently deliver? He's barely been given a chance, like. He seemed to look the part last week against Man City. He cant be any less consistent or laboured than Tiote!

Lee Shyster saying on twitter that he looked incredibly relieved on the pitch after the final whistle. If he lost this (along with the inevitable of the next 3 games) then I think he knows he'd probably be out. It sounds ridiculous, but I don't know what it will take for the majority of our support to recognise how bad we are and that it is all down to him. Saying that, fair play to the crowd for sticking with the team- it's not easy when you have to watch that dross.
  17. Yesssss! Get the fuck in. Invaluable result but a thoroughly worrying performance. Pardew is so lucky that Shola was in the mood today.
  18. Fuck off Pardew, fuck off Pardew, fuck off Pardew, Fuck off Pardew, fuck off Pardew, fuck off Pardew, Fuck off Pardew, fuck off Pardew, fuck off Pardew, Fuck off Pardew, fuck off Pardew, fuck off Pardew, Fuck off Pardew, fuck off Pardew, fuck off Pardew, .
  19. Such a pain in the ass having this club in my life. Honestly, what the fuck was that we've just seen? What a load of shit. Get Marveaux on ffs, it's not that hard to see he improves our team and style of play dramatically.
  20. I hate watching us play so much. Utterly deflating. Can't even get excited about a corner, man
  21. How bad are QPR? If we don't beat them then we deserve to be in the relegation zone, they are absolutely woeful. Saying this, we look as weak as ever and I really can't see us winning this. 30mins gone and we haven't tested them once. The usual.

    Loïc Remy

Wouldn't mind him starting at RB, would be an improvement on what we have.
