Wanted to tear my eyes out watching that filth. It was so painfully predictable that they'd score. Waste of £10, and the shockingly low attendance says it all about what people are thinking now.

Under Pardew we have two methods of playing a game: 1) We score first, then our heart stops and we lose any sort of interest and momentum in winning the game and sit deeper and deeper, letting the oppo have as much of the ball as they like, tearing us apart on the break whenever we venture forward, and eventually concede (not winning the game). or 2) We start completely disjointed and lethargic, unable to string two passes together as we disgracefully play it long to our isolated striker(s). The opposition score and we give it 'a go' in the last 20 minutes when its too late, by either giving the ball to Ben Arfa and watch him try and beat 11 opposing players or we hoof it into the box and hope to win the scraps and poke it in. It's absolutely desperate and rotten to watch. This honestly reminds me of when Allardyce was in charge, it's truly woeful. I wish Pardew would pack his bags tonight and leave, he doesn't deserve to be within 10 miles of this great club let alone managing it. Tonight summed it all up.

I was so jealous watching Swansea play yesterday. You look at some of their signings, Michu for example, and it's actually frustrating. Then, to top it off, you look at our best 11 and the football that is produced and its enough to make you weep. I'd love Laudrup here.

Don't have a good feeling about this one at all, think it could be a long afternoon. Very nervous, actually.

Dan Abrahams is actually a top sports psychologist, but not that you'll care. I don't know how people get so wound up about things like that when its blatantly obvious we set up to contain teams and clearly lack an attacking mindset. Calm down, ffs. Look who's talking.. Has it totally escaped your mind we finished fifth last season, way better than most on here dared to dream, and our manager was awarded the manager of the year award as a result. Aye, I bet a "top sports physchologist" would know better - tactics and psychology are near enough the same thing.. Really? No one seems to mention last season, I had no idea! I never said he'd know better tactics than Pardew btw! It was more aimed at Pardew's mind set- one that seems controlled by fear.

Very good! Bit of a 'whoosh' that one..

Daniel Abrahams @DanAbrahams77 Play to win and not to lose; play on the front foot & not the back foot; play with freedom and not with fear; play with ur head up not down Please take note, Alan.

It'd be a shame to see him on his his way so soon, imo. Think he looks excellent technically and would probably slot in well to the team if we played him in his correct position and just gave him a run of games. He just hasn't got a proper chance. I'd like to see him on the left against Swansea (assuming we go 4-4-2...).

One of the best moments I've ever had supporting NUFC! Unbelievable
-
Would love to see Cabaye at the tip of a three man midfield, supported by Perch and Tiote/a class box-to-box midfielder.
-
Aye, its obvious that he has clauses i.e finishing in a certain position, financial targets even. But I just cant see us making any progression as a club with him here beyond this season. He's out of his depth it's blatantly obvious. I think we should stick with him until the end of the season because mid-season sackings are ridiculous. But, the one thing I shall stick up for him in is that as long as Ashley's here no manager will have a proper, strong squad to compete with.
-
The option to be direct is there when you have him on, yeah. Perhaps getting on the end of crosses in the box, getting on the end of well drilled set pieces, being constructive in that sense. Not have the ball bludgeoned up to him or hoofed over the top for him to chase- which we were doing. Use him to your advantage and I don't mind, but our 'gameplan' was/is just embarrassing.
-
Cool, everyone has different opinions. I for one don't fancy him seeing out that 8 year deal of his
-
Very true, I appreciate that. But it doesn't excuse the way we continued to launch it. Never been a big believe in the 'Hoof it to the big lad up top' myself, but obviously it gets you places!
-
For me, it's nailed on that you're an absolute cretin for thinking that. Glad you think that I cant see what benefit you see in him staying (beyond this season) is tbh. Do you watch our games?
-
For me it's nailed on that he's got to go. I'm still a bit emotional from yesterday, which was awful, but I'm convinced that he's completely revealed his true colours now- bringing Shola on yesterday and persisting/encouraging the same 'tactic' said it all for me. People probably think I'm completely overreacting but this is just my opinion! We're not a newly promoted team compromising with average, technically inferior cloggers. It's inexcusable. And as for the 'I hope Pardew learns from this'...'I hope he realises this'...'We'll see if he learns from this, that'll be the true test' etc etc. Well, we find ourselves saying that an awful lot, and, unsurprisingly, he doesn't 'learn' from these things. Mainly because they are not 'mistakes', it is a mixture of a lack of class, cowardice and general incompetence. Not naivety. But for now, we can't sack him. No one respectable would fill the void, it's going to be the end of the season. But it will take an extreme decline for that to happen- balance the books, mid table; Ashley's rubbing his fat hands together. Not looking good.
-
Can't argue with a word of that. In the second half when we just kept launching it for no reason and losing the ball I was so, so tempted to just go home. It was absolutely horrendous, I was fuming at the final whistle. I still am pissed off, an NUFC game hasn't angered me this time in quite a while. Bringing wor lass to her first ever game next weekend......
-
Well, had the chance to sleep on it and (try) digest yesterday. Still want him out. Useless prick.
-
Hangover from last season.
-
I cant take any more of this.
-
Yeah, the atmosphere at SJP has been really poor all season. Although the Spurs game was good, but that's because it the first game of the season. It's the style of football, it's just totally uninspiring and it just knocks the stuffing out of you. It's so deflating to watch.
-
It sounds strange but I would be quite interested to sit in on his teams talks pre/half/full time. I'd like to see his team instructions (I wonder!) and what he says to individuals. Considering he's such an odious character.
-
On another note, their fans were rubbish. Good numbers but hardly heard a peep out of them- probably a good thing with those awful accents.
