He's really impressed me in his last couple of games. He's been calm and reassured, something that any good keeper needs to be. Personally I think he's got to get the no.1 shirt next season- there's no point in sending Krul out on loan again, he's clearly shown he's as good if not better than Harper and will only get better playing at such a high standard. Another thing about Krul is that he seems to be more athletic and much quicker off his line than Harper.

Despite Pardew not being anywhere near my ideal manager for the job, I think that next season their is really a lot of potential to be fulfilled for the club. We have a small squad but within our best 11 there is a lot of quality which, if given the right investment during the summer, can potentially push for a top 7 place. But then again it's back to the same old story, isn't it? That being we probably wont get that and will end up going around in mediocre circles and it will become eye wateringly obvious that Ashley is trying to get away with running us on a shoe string. I pray I am wrong but I just don't see it happening. Pardew has a tendency to leave tactical changes too late, however despite having very little options to choose from he's got a good consistency in terms of picking the team. I seem to remember at the start of Hughton's reign here he was criticised heavily for not changing things quick enough. But I think we can only judge Pardew fairly when he has a fair chance- that does not mean being given about 24 hours to find a replacement for our best striker- to mould the squad the way he wants it and if he is given a good financial backing and allowed to keep his best players. If any of those factors are missing then quite frankly, it doesn't matter who the fuck we have in charge we won't be going anywhere exciting in a hurry. In a way I simply cant wait to see what this summer brings but deep down there's a that horrible reminder of reality...

I think we'll end up with 4 points from our next 4 games, all of them coming at home. Birmingham are a poor side whilst West Brom are certainly a revived team under Woy- that'll be a very tough game. And I see the Chelsea game as one the players will probably be unmotivated for and we'll, like the daft sods in that video, make it over the line. But we're safe, there's no question now. I'm just thrilled we've done it considering the lack of investment during last summer, the threadbare squad, mediocre strike force, selling of our best striker, and sacking of Hughton. I think survival has been quite an achievement considering that even for a year in the life of NUFC its been remarkably fucking ridiculous!

Had Hearts on my first accumulator today- they were 3-0 up and drew 3-3. Was raging. To make matters worse I put a second bet on this evening and it was a toss up between Dortmund and Millwall. Needless to say Dortmund are losing to Borussia Mochgladbach (first against last) whilst Millwall are winning 4-0. I just can't win. Ever.

We have the players capable of playing some decent ball; Tiote, Barton, Nolan, Enrique and Coloccini. All of them are good passers of the ball and show how much better we are when the ball is played on the deck and to feet. Absolutely sick of just launching it up to Ameobi and Lovenkrands.

I had a dream last night that we beat Coventry 1-0 in the 94th minute. I turned on the tele to watch the highlight on SSN and Beckham, in a Man Utd shirt from the 1998 season, poked one in for us at the Gallowgate. Although according to the Sky clip it said '1997' under the scoreline. Don't even know why I'm posting this at all, let alone in this thread tbh...

Like we normally do against this lot we'll go 1-0 up but then concede an equaliser at a vital time and go on to lose about 1-3/4.
