Very much this. Individual brilliance has rescued them a lot of times, but that's not a consistent formula for long-term success. OGS is still clearly doing a good job, this result doesn't change it (as amusing as it is). I take Froggy's point about Sheff Utd getting lucky but Man Utd's team is so superior to Sheff Utd that they should be good enough to negate any sort of luck. Doesn't seem like Ramsdale had to pull off a load of incredible saves either.

Thiago Silva 1+ headed SOT @ 9/1 (Sky). Happened in his last 2 games. Wolves aren't the greatest from set pieces. 2+ @ 200/1 for a laugh.

For all the talk about Dias and Stones, for me the reason they're doing so well is Gundogan and Rodri in the middle. The positions they take up are so smart and it's their work which means Dias and Stones are rarely under severe pressure (not that the defenders haven't clearly been great). Rodri has a lot of Busquets about him.

After all that work I put into those Ajayi bets last week and he did nothing, he does it after 3 minutes tonight against Man City.

People hate Man Utd because of their years of last minute goals, the legions of insufferable glory supporters, the referee calls, the media love-ins. OGS is doing a good job at the moment. Being in the title race is what I would expect from the money they've spent. Winning the title would be a brilliant (over)achievement. Bruno Fernandes has been a fantastic signing. Yeah, played the odd game in the league too. I don't know what to make of us. We haven't played well since the first 4 games of the season yet still have a realistic shot at the top 4, and certainly top 6 (not that I think we'll get the former). We've struggled for consistency but at least we look more organised recently yet still thrown some stinkers, e.g. very recently at home to West Ham. Obviously got full faith in Carlo though and he'll need some more time and a couple more windows to mould the team more.
