Will Osula: Goal vs Man United nominated for PL Goal of the Season
The Prophet replied to a topic in Football
Or perhaps he's just come on a lot in the last few months? Hard to say either way really. -
Being Premier League proven and a grafter aren't bad things like, as long as they're being other attributes to the table and the price is good.

He'd definetly go in my all time NUFC XI like. Has longevity over Woodgate and consistentcy over Colo. Plus you know, he's a trophy winner and all that. -
Delap would be a good signing mind.
-
Hope update on transfers: We don't intend to sell Osula, although his agents may push for fresh terms. We like Delap, but Chelsea don't want to sell and he doesn't want to leave, so we've moved onto other targets. Bayern have contacted us over Gordon, but there's a gap in valuation as big as £20 million. Woltamade wants to stay, but he wants a more prominent role in the side.

Fully agree with this bit, even if we do have differing opinions on last season's form. -
I wasn't talking about you.
-
It doesn't tell us anything we don't already know really.

That's not really my point. When we play well we overrated our players, when we don't, we underrated them. It's human nature. Wliiock, Wilson, Almiron worked because they were playing in a well functioning team with established patterns of play. The current forward line is part of a dysfunctional outfit who's low on confidence. On paper, our forward line is no where near as bad it has been made to look, it's more than capable of chasing Europe.

He was indeed excellent in the cup run, but he also had a large number of poor league games. He was making uncharacteristic errors, he was getting beaten in the air more than usual and his trade mark long range passing was well off. He turns 35 this year, it's completely normal that he's past his peak. -
Feels like folk are underrating players because we've been so poor as a collective this season. For large parts of the season we finished 4th out front three was Willock, Wilson and Almiron.
-
Normally, it's the Sporting Director's job to line up a contingency plan. How many levels of club bureaucracy that would need to be signed off by, fuck knows.

Was it a DIY job or can you buy them? -

It feels like people are forgetting how poor he was last season. Much like Trippier, club legend and one of our best ever CBs, but age catches up with the best of them. Hope he comes back as Sporting Director one day. -

Losing him and Trippier is end of an era stuff. Club legends. -
I love Enrique and the way they play, plus Kvara is probably my favourite non-NUFC player to watch, but they're a minging club.

"Sandro Tonali, I think there's a feeling from somewhere around Newcastle that he probably will go." Is the feeling coming from Morpeth?
-
I'll feel like I need a shower having to support PSG in the final.
-
Yeah, I'd agree probably agree with more of them if we knew who the outgoings were.
-
There's some needs, but also a lot of wants there.
-
In the first leg PSG ran out of legs last 15 minutes, wonder if Bayern ate counting on that.
-
Last week he was talking about finally having the time on the training ground to work with him.
-
In the likely event we don't qualify for Europe. We're probably looking at a keeper, a couple of defenders. Then we may look to replace the likes of Tino, Tonali, Gordon or Wissa should they leave. Guesswork of course, but think it'll be five or six in.

How come? Heard good things, but not watched enough of Brentford to critique his game.
