Atleti are quite fun these days.
-
Is this the report in the Daily Mirror?
-
Looking forward to some calming words from the big dig this week.

Was thinking earlier how much he's grown into the captaincy. Can't think of many captains we've had that would grab the game by the scruff of the neck and drag us across the line.

Cheers for the updates @Minhosa. Positive to know the future could be very bright.

Some of them are 14.

I don't think we knew Isak was leaving tbf. There seemed to be a misguided belief that he wouldn't be a cunt. -
Andreas Christensen available on a free this summer. Wonder if we've looked at him given past links.
-
Fair Hopefully Ross Wilson can begin to steer things in the right direction.
-
So it is. Has something gone wrong or are we just not progressing as quickly as hoped?

I'd be lying if I said I followed the women's team closely, but obviously I want them to do well. Is back to back promotions followed by falling just short of promotion not good going?

"In flames" "A mess" Talk about overdramatic. We'll always be vulnerable until then until we can pay the highest wages and regularly qualify for the Champions League. Even then most players don't say no to the likes of Bayern, PSG, Barca and Real.
-
That's an enormous upset.

Gabriel injured? How sad.

As a leadership figure at the club, absolutely. As a player, obviously not. -

Yep. It's the same craic as Trippier. Love the bloke to bits, but it's time to pass the torch. I can't believe I'm having this debate with a fanbase who regularly criticise the manager for lacking a ruthless streak and retaining players for longer than he should -

As did Lascelles and Trippier. It's a lot of senior leadership figures that will need replacing in the coming seasons. -

Is it not because Schar has more credit in the bank? Fab was exceptional under Rafa and for circa three years under Howe. He was an absolute warrior. Last season though, he got beaten in the air easily, his positioning was questionable and his previously pinpoint passing regularly found an opponent. I struggle to see how it improves with him turning 35 this year. Thiaw has played more minutes than any other CB this season and he's been very good for a large majority of them. Sure, he had one particularly poor half and has made a couple of errors, but considering the lack of rest, it's been an excellent first season in the Premier League. -

Nah, not even close. -

Always feel the need to caveat this with I love Fab, he's been a fantastic servant. ...but much like Trippier, he looked very much on the decline last season and put in a lot of average to poor performances. Happy for him to stay as cover, but we should be phasing him out. -
Salah's drop off is doing van Dijk a lot of favours. The pair of them look a shadow of their former selves.

RCB, he's second choice behind Thiaw. -
Depends if they're any good.

He puts together a really good analysis, but you can tell he's a tool.
