  1. It could just be that they're a public investment fund like.
  2. I don't think there's a huge gulf in class between the sides, the key difference has been mentality. Villa are resilient, hang on in games they don't deserve to and find a way, whereas we're pretty brittle and are prone to a soft concession even when we're well on top.
  3. They need to sign-off on the infrastructure projects, but they're relying on having a world class executive to do the rest. I guess we'll soon find out how good they are.
  4. It was very interesting, but nothing really we didn't already know
  5. I have to go in two to three times a week. It's a nice blend that ensures I don't go batshit mental, but don't waste too much time and money on travel.
  6. Ramsdale Thiaw, Botman, Burn Murphy, Tonali, Ramsey, Hall Elanga, Gordon, Willock
  7. I was thinking something like... Pope Thiaw, Botman, Burn Miley, Tonali, Ramsey, Hall Elanga, Wolt, Gordon That way Miley (providing he's back soon) and Hall can invert or bomb on to ease the creative burden.
  8. Impossible to dress it up as good news, but it's an opportunity for others to step up. Miley and Ramsey in particular.
  9. Will he be back for the Champions League final then?
  10. He's probably just being cautious given the Tino and Murphy incidents. Fingers crossed.
  11. I agree with most of that. Last season was Woltamade's breakthrough season, he's still very much learning his trade. Isak had a solid debut season, but Howe and the coaches developed his game to become an efficient penalty box striker, which is ultimately what Woltamade should aim to become.
  12. City should really turn thr screw in the coming weeks...
  13. Not to go over old ground, but his weaknesses as a striker are all very fixable with solid coaching and time on the training ground. I do recall Isak being pegged by some as a left winger and not a natural striker in his first year or so. The banter around his diet, fashion and sexuality is absolutely toe curling though. Who cares?
  14. Happy to be corrected on this, but isn't matchday revenue a relatively small percentage of overall turnover and dwarfed by the likes of TV rights, sponsorships, etc?
  15. He did, the problem is that its an anomaly in a largely wretched career.
  16. He's a good footballer. We cry out for players who are better with the ball at their feet, then criticise him for being the next Jenas. I have agreed he needs to imposee himself more, but he's been doing that in recent weeks. He's going to be a big player for us.
  17. Could you not just thicken the line or have a "buffer zone" in front of it to increase the margin for error?
  18. Impossible, he played the inflexible 4-3-3.
  19. Ultimately, PGMOL have got to ask themselves, is it in the interests of players or spectators to be delaying a game for several minutes to determine whether part of an attacker's anatomy is ahead of the defender?
