Exciting, exhausting, terrifying all at the same time?

[FAC 4R] Aston Villa vs. Newcastle United: 14/02/26 @ 1745 (BBC/TNT)

While I did initially grimace at that fixture run. I guess PSG, Villa and City x 2 are cup games, playing these teams at the highest level is what we've always wanted. If we beat PSV, I'd happily rotate for that PSG game mind. -
Jacobs: Gallagher available for £25 million. Fab: Villa are closing in on Gallagher. Gallagher signs for Spurs for £35 million. I don't miss this.

I do remember absolute uproar on here a couple of seasons back about the prospect of us signing McTominay or Gallagher. How times change.

Every other "big" club got a home draw or a lower division side -

Oh fuck off. -
The Scalvini links are back. He's had more injuries this season. Talented lad, but we need durability.

In terms of depth, we had two players for every position. Sure the quality was quite skewed across the squad, but Tonali receiving a ban, Barnes breaking his foot, Pope dislocating his shoulder, along with unfortunate lower back injuries for Burn and Anderson were part of a catalogue of unforeseeable absences that season. There's an argument to say we should have brought in more first team quality, but it seemed the focus was on the wider squad. Last summer it felt like three transfer windows of minimal incomings left holes all over the squad. It felt like GK, RCB, RW and ST was the bare minimum and I was relieved to see us sign a CM, it's just a shame they haven't all hit the ground running. I'm not sure we'll ever get the play maker that's craved because there's so few of them in the game and managers are usually uncomfortable to play them, unless the forward in front of them is a work horse.

The summer 23/24 transfer market was heavily scrutinised, with the signings of Tonali, Barnes and Hall all questioned and/or criticised at some point. The previous summer hasn't had the same benefit of time yet.

Seems cheap. He'd fit us like a glove too.

Sounds like they might fast track a long term target if Livramento is knackered.

Even back at his peak in 22/23 he wasn't the fastest and we were all crying out for a defender with a bit of recovery pace. We played a high line to, but got away with it because Pope was such a proactive sweeper keeper.

It's always been there, it only takes a whiff of success for the unjustifiable entitlement to come out.

For a fanbase who has a huge volume of content creators, we're absolutely bereft of quality podcast content. The social climbers over at True Faith are amongst the worst of the lot and seem like a gaggle of cunts to boot.

We go through U21 coaches like hot dinners.

Lower league team at home please. -
Much, much better. Still had a couple of rushes of blood to the head where he came charging out of defence, leaving a huge gap for Bournemouth to exploit.

Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed
The Prophet replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
The third goal is on Ramsdale like. It's not even my biggest issue, he just doesn't look like saving anything at the moment. -
Missed the lovely dummy for the pel too.

Folk are being a bit harsh on his first effort mind, it's a cracking save from Petrovic.
