I forgot form doesn't exist on NO, my bad.

...and the point still stands. Look at us under Pards. The acid test will be how they react after a couple of poor results.

Doesn't look particularly sustainable mind

"TOULOUSE LOSES DAYANN METHALIE FOR SEVERAL WEEKS! The 19-year-old left-back underwent knee surgery during the break to address chronic pain."
-
With Trafford, it's all about his ceiling. He's still a baby in goal keeping terms. Perhaps with Pope's rapid regression, we're looking at a more seasoned option?
-
Latest from Hope... A move for Dayann Methalie is expected. Smit is likely to stay put and will have his pick of clubs across Europe in the summer. We have no plans to go back in for Trafford and we will look at alternative targets in the summer. Villa are sniffing around Osula at a bargain price, something we're unwilling to entertain. Frankfurt and Palace are also interested. At present there have been no approaches for Willock.

It's got the NUFC social media contingent all blood thirsty. This is how a ruthless club runs apparently.

Newcastle United vs. Crystal Palace: 4/1/26 @ 15:00 (Sky Sports)

Palace have look knackered of late. They play tonight too. -
There's Twitter rumours that he's got long COVID. Obviously could just be two and two equals five.
-
That also doesn't include the lads and lasses who want him binned, but won't overtly say it. Instead you'll get something like... "I don't want Howe sacked, but I do hate his looks, the way he dresses, his tactics and everything else he stands for and I'd change them all immediately. He just isn't elite, not like Unai. Have I ever told you how elite Unai is?"

Nice to see some green shoots in terms of a new system emerging over the last couple of games. At least when we have the ball anyway.

Burnley 1-3 Newcastle United (30/12/2025) | post-match from pg. 54

With today's win, we've jumped up to 11th in the away table. Home dominance has made a major comeback this season. -
Not great tonight, but if some of the other lads played with half the heart he did, we'd be much further up the table.
-
I'm a bit scared of that Wolves game, it has high embarrassment potential.

Not a vintage performance, but deserved winners overall. We cause ourselves so many issues by being completely unable to keep the ball. I know folk say we need more technical players (which is true), but it's absolutely inexcusable that players like Bruno, Tonali and Gordon are unable to execute a basic pass. -

The game is a bit too open for my liking, but we should be out of sight. -
Just me that thought, embarrassing slip aside, he was alright v Man United.
-
I don't think he's athletic enough for what we were or technical enough for what we want to become.
-
Agreed, although the most recent evidence suggests that we're going for something similar to how Villa set up.
-
It objectively isn't though. It's Howe's seconds attempt to manage such a calender, the first was kiboshed by an injury crisis. I take your point on the squad size, but clearly he's struggling to get his ideas across without time on the training ground. This is something he'll need to improve going forward and should be aided by a less turbulent summer.
-
Howe wants to adjust our gsme, he's said as much, but he's evidently struggling to do so with a three game a week calender.

It's very simplistic to say that we rigidly stick to 4-3-3 mind. We've done all sorts with it over last few seasons.
