  1. Did they show the lines for the Big Joe disallowed goal. Looked on in real time.
  2. Aye. Feel a bit sorry for him, can tell he's in his head and is overthinking every touch with how unusually hesitant be looks. Eddie will put an arm round him and get him firing again I'm sure.
  3. Second half felt like a pre-season friendly, the second goal killed the game stone dead. Not a vintage showing by any means. Bilbao's press and our disjointed attack made it a scrappy affair, but the lads were professional enough and still carved them open a number of times. Logging in you wouldn't be sure of the result like, what a bunch of miserable fuckers.
  4. Our kryptonite is teams who press us. I think he's got his tactics right, but they're lacking quality up top due to the injuries.
  5. Bilbao have been very impressive off the ball and haven't given us a moment to settle. They remind me a bit of us back in the day, minus the physicality. Still, we've opened them up a few times and just about deserve to be ahead. Given their injuries, I doubt they'll be able to keep this up all game and our fresh legs off the bench could do some damage.
  6. Think similar to Benfica, these will tire second half and we'll run out relatively comfortable winners.
  7. These guys press really well. We don't move it well at the best of times, but they're blocking off passing lanes all owa the show.
  8. Burn touched on this in his press conference. In a nutshell he said the squad has evolved since 22/23 so there has been less of a focus on the dark arts, but we need to be smarter and harder to play against, particularly away from home. He cited Arsenal, who are masters of it whilst still being a good side.
  9. Interesting to hear both Howe and Burn discuss mentality issues and our ability to remain consistent no matter who we play.
  10. Rather annoying we didn't get an absolute gimme at home like this lot.
  11. From Hope: "But Hopkinson, formerly head of global partnerships at Real Madrid, wants to add close to £100m per season to the club’s revenue. His contacts and know-how from a global perspective will be key to driving that growth. A partnership with Visa has been announced and the likes of Microsoft and Amazon could be next."
  12. At least this stuff won't effect Eddie and the lads.
  13. Trundle on? We've been growing the commercial side circa 30% year on year. That's pretty impressive within the confines FMV. Unless the plan is to start challenging those confines.
  14. Could be wrong, but I want to say circa £320 million.
  15. It seems the next accounts will see us break the £400 million mark. That seems like another sizeable annual jump for us, we've never really stalled on that front.
  16. Can't argue with the commercial growth under his watch, but the ticketing system is a shambles.
  17. We've played 3-4-3 at least twice this season mind.
