Remember at the time thinking “what?”. Presumed I’d misheard.

This is headed goals in a single season: https://www.90min.com/posts/harry-kane-equals-25-year-old-premier-league-record-southampton-draw-duncan-ferguson# Maybe it was that? Edit: Nope: https://thefootballfaithful.com/most-headed-goals-premier-league-season/

Yeah, thought that was what he said. Only here: https://khelnow.com/football/premier-league-top-10-players-most-headed-goals# And…Calvert-Lewin has 49 PL goals. No idea what he was on about.

That last goal screamed “relegation” at high volume.

Brentford goals were cracking.

You’ve not met Arsenal before, have you.
-
Just got in. Not seen any of the game. Sounds like the restitution has begun then?

Scratch that. Spurs lost 2-1 at Burnley in the Second Division. Delete.

Watching one of the old Big Match repeats. 1978. Gillingham v Wrexham. 0-0. I love everything about this.

Ollie Watkins does rather stand out there.

Maybe the Commander of the Star Trek Fleet can help out.

The issue with that is what other pressure do you put on? If you stand to win £500K do you offer a ref or an opposing player £250K to throw the game? I agree in principle but see why they would just ban it full stop.

Some will remember that James has already revealed he’s imperfect in a specific confession many years ago.

That’s quite a pair of consecutive posts.

With that guy I never know if it’s him or the parody version. I do love that he’s just one of many Arsenal fans who peddle the same nonsense.

Can anyone think of a reason to hate the name Ian W.?
-
The irony being that the reason their Man City game got switched to 12:30 was because they were cunts.

I suspect it was pretty expensive, it’s probably 70+ years old and in excellent condition
-
Oh yeah absolutely. I just think that the conversation sometimes gets hung up on which country gets to buy teams rather than on whether countries get to buy teams. And that’s not a clear case of right and wrong, just what I kinda feel.

The wicker furniture set we moved from the US that now inhabits our “conservatory” was bought with my grandma-in-law’s proceeds from running the numbers for the Mafia in Akron.

I care. I don’t want countries to own football clubs. Even if their human rights’ record is spotless. Of course, I care more when it’s in my country/league.

Maldives drew 1-1 with Bangladesh in World Cup qualifiers. Quite a discrepancy in population between those two.

Hate to dredge this up again, but this is such a great quote from - well you all know where - so here’s the current state of play: ”I think the silence means that there is maybe contemplation on what legal avenues are available and what financial recourse there may be should we, for instance, miss out on something significant by a point or three. For instance, we all know CL qualification is highly lucrative, and missing out on that revenue will impact us on many levels - from transfer budgets to sponsorship dollars. This will be quantified and I believe it will then be communicated to the PGMOL, and then left for them to decide how they think to best proceed. They might then revise their hard stance on the result and the idea of a replay. Or the club may lay bait, and only use it if and when we do miss out on something lucrative. We are still able to win the league or qualify for CL from here, in fact we are in a very good position to do just that. It would be even more damning for the PGMOL I think, if Spurs are the ones to qualify at our expense. Think there’s just lots of lawyering happening, but behind the scenes within minimum disruption to our team.”

Came on to post both of these. All that bother over a carvery too.
