Bundesliga is the most entertaining league in Europe imo, consistent high scoring games, great goals and there is atleast 5-6 teams that could realisticly win the title

Grafite was topscorer last season.

SSN: David O'Leary 'no longer in contention' for NUFC job
ponsaelius replied to Dave's topic in Football
Don't like him. -
He's slow as fuck but he still has some technical ability, more so than most our players. Maybe this level will be his pace and he will shine, or am I being ridiculously optimistic? I've found my self doing that alot really, not idea why.

Zheng, Volz and Lovenkrands again for me. Zhi was Charlton's star player, and him being injured for most of last season probably went a long way to relegating them. Reckon he would add a bit of creativity in the middle of the park, and I highly doubt would be wanting monster wages. Very good Championship player, would probably boost our commercial appeal in China aswell, big market out there! If Volz is over his injury problems he'll surely be worth taking on board, especially with Beye on his way we need another RB. Also we might get to see him ride his fold-up bike to matches. Lovenkrands is probably unlikely to return but I always said he'd be decent in the Championship, he's got pace and an eye for goal, would of definitely been worth keeping. Sibby, as much as I love the guy isn't worth bringing in. Wasn't good enough to help Norwich stay up last season and I doubt he'd be much use. Maybe we could bring him back as a player/coach and re-ignite the cult status purely for sentimental reasons

To be honest, I don't how highly rated some of our past youngsters were, but this is surely one of our best crop of youngsters ever? I don't remember ever having this many who have genuine promise? Or is it just because we're so shit, they seem closer to the first team than ever before.

Aye, use his blistering pace on the tiring opposition.
-
Dissapointed, but is softens the blow a bit that he's gone to Villa rather than Hull.
-
This is one of the few transfers that hurts. We're losing one of the few decent players, to Hull fucking City.
-
Would love it. Just put him on my fantasy team on the cheap and it would be great if he moved to a "top four" team. Surely that could be a bad thing. He's guarenteed to start every game at Fulham, racking up points every week, while at Arsenal he probably won't.

Woop go Vuckic. Looks like a promising player, I know Slovenia isn't exactly a huge footballing nation but the fact a 16 year old, was one of the most prominent players in an under-19 team says alot.
-
Villa's a great place for any promising young English players to play. Happy Delph has gone there rather than Man City, where I get the impression lack of chances would of stunted his development.
-
Romário and Ronaldo were a class partnership as well when they briefly played together. Yep, I'm sure it was a Confederations Cup final when they both hit a hattrick each in a 6-0 win or something.

Stoitchkov wasn't an out and out striker though, he was a winger/second striker.

On second thoughts I would put Barnes onto my bench and put Stoitchkov on the right wing instead.
-
Nope, arrived the season after Koeman left. He missed him narrowly at Barca aswell.

Tickets arrived yesterday, been pretty excited since then despite the s*** situation. I'll go for a 0-2 win, ignoring all the negativity surrounding the club. Shola and Jonas with the goals.
