They're trying to get Broadhead (he is from N.Wales) from Ipswich who would be their most expensive signing. Not marquee maybe but certainly pretty big move for a newly promoted team.
-
They've made some very good Championship level signings, and will get a few more still. I'd say mid-table would be an achievement but wouldn't surprise if they pushed for play offs.
-
Yeah Prudhoe were poor. Not a good start to the season results wise. Obviously it's a derby and Friday night so a good crowd, but seems a much better set up and atmosphere these days with it being the Youth Club compared to when it was Prudhoe Town getting about 40 a week in.

Have you just logged in?
-
Would like it personally. Feels a solid Trippier 2.0 move and think he'd be great in our team.
-
Him and Wissa would be sound like. Need a mix of one proven PL and another who is a bit more of a spicy gamble
-
Be a an honour to see him sign for Aston Villa
-
Considering United FC. Was waiting for him as our next option like.
-
I haven't been since Prudhoe Town days. I'm back here with my rents while we do the house up, so going along with the old man.
-
Me too!

I'm sure there was a rumour Tonali had signed a one year extension off the record given he was banned for a year.
-
Think I was either on your train or the one after it. Had a day at the Fringe.
-
Did think I saw you at central station on Saturday morning in it. On your way to Edinburgh?
-
Yeah but they're not in CL this year and they're not even a real football club really
-
I'm fine with us signing Thiaw. Not a world beater, but still has raw tools to improve, and like I said recently we are going to need another CB again next summer anyway so it's fine to go for more of a punt here IMO. Him nearly going to Como isn't a bad sign. Their talent ID and transfer policy has looked really strong last 12 months.
-
Liverpool are punting Elliot to Leipzig. Wonder if there is any chance they might put pressure on Leipzig to sell to us instead for a higher fee, in the hope it then unlocks the Isak transfer? Seems a weird situation all round that it isn't done.
-
The Isak thing is clearly paralysing our entire market though. Whatever fee we get, and who we get to replace him, likely changes the budgets massively for other positions like CB and CM. The whole thing is an omnishambles.
-
Signed loads of good players IMO. That would have been successful elsewhere. Just the culture of the club and the way they're used that makes them flops.
-
I just realised we only have 23 days left to sign probably four players
-
The optics of spending big money on him are just atrocious. We will effectively be paying for the two players they signed ahead of us, by buying the one they don't want anymore. There has got to be a similar signing to Jackson out there that we can recruit from Europe for half the price. Our approach to the market this summer, whatever the reason for it, is utterly maddening.

Why the hell do the frogs spell Yashin's name differently?

Two forrin keepers out and our rose Ramsdale in. Four English goalies. Eddie's Brexit mags are back.
