Nah you can't have a 24 team league without play-offs that go at least down to 6th IMO. The play-offs aren't really for the excitement of the play offs themselves (although that is fun), it's to keep the league active from January onwards for the middle of the league. If only the top 3 go up you basically have loads of teams with no chance of going up and no chance of going down for half the season. The play-offs are great for keeping things active, reducing dead rubbers and make the Championship a much more interesting league in general. They have the relegation play off in Germany (16th Vs 3rd) and it is shit. The Bundesliga team always wins (12 out of 15 occasions I believe since it was introduced in 2009) because they're much stronger. It would be even worse in the PL because of the financial gulf - you'd basically just be making it even harder for teams to go up and reduce it to effectively two up/two down.

Dunno, those first games he played when he signed he was outstanding and in a much worse team than this one. It gets overlooked just how good he was and how immediately transformative it was for our defence.

I always think the idea that they're difficult to replicate digitally is a load of bollocks. It's just a vector image that can be recreated at any size or shape and used for any purpose. What this usually actually means is they want something simple, with a basic shape, bold colours and that is more recognisable as a corporate brand rather than something which represents the civic identity of the place (as our current badge does being taken largely from the historic coat of arms). I don't have any issue with badges changing necessarily, but the current trend is IMO that the vast majority contemporary badges at all levels of football are downgrades.

Would definitely take Ramsey to replace Willock. Not Barnes though.

Athletic really don't have depth though. Their talent pool is small, once the starting XI is out they're often playing lads who are barely La Liga standard.

It's that or Fiorentina Betis for me, none of the other games are still alive imo.
