Curious what people think Eddie’s way out of this is? We finish mid table. I don’t think that’s the biggest disaster. say we lose 2 purples at the least in the summer (Tino and Tonali). Maybe 3. how does he get this team functioning again (bad summer signings) and the club pointed back in the right direction? Howe in, but understand there needs to be a plan to move beyond this.

Eddie isn't going to change his system/formation to suit Nick. We won't play with a playmaker, similar to his reluctance to use a dedicated DM (WHICH IS HIS PREROGATIVE, RELAX). So it's down to Nick to fit the system, which I'm not sure he's capable of physically. Made a pigs ear out of this. I love Nick though, so I'll hold out hope.

Yeah, I could see the benefit in seasons like this one that we fully fuck off a few competitions that we're in. It doesn't feel good, and it goes against Howe's nature - but the alternative is just having a disappointing season on all fronts.
