We still have alot of players on prem wages. Smith, duff etc are going to be here all season on 60k making no impact whatsoever. We sold martins, also on 60k, who would have atleast scored a few goals. I'd swap both duff and smith for martins back in a second. We've let the wrong players go. True, we wouldn't have gotten a transfer fee for our midfield shiteaters but who cares, our team would instantly improve without them.

From what I seen, Delph did a pretty bad tackle on one of our players (can't remember who, shola?) and then Barton put him to ground with a push/bodycheck as play continued in the opposite direction. I remember laughing like, so the bodycheck wasn't that bad. The kind of thing you get upto in primary school. If anything it was nice to see them looking out for eachother. Can anyone confirm this is what happened? I can't be 100% like. Corner of my eye stuff.

Very true and I agree 100%, it doesn't mean we should accept it though and not give them any abuse (not saying you said it did) I agree with everything, like fuck would they take a paycut. The thing that pisses me of is that fact that our club seems such a push over, we need someone to come in and tell them to fuck off. Their wages are part of the reason no one will buy us, yet they piss and moan about not being sold every week in the shitting chronicle. They're as much the cancer at our club as the owner.

I don't really care if they're in it for the right reasons or not, the majority of them are bad footballers. Like many have said in the past months, they can show their commiment by taking a paycut that reflects their level of performance and skill.

It seems to me because players like Smith get let off with rediculous statements like 'they'll do a job in the championship', simply because we have no chance of selling them at a decent price or giving them away in some cases. Not to worry though like, cause you know, they'll do a job in the championship! But Martins, who actually has enough about him to command a decent transfer fee from a decent team, gets slagged off and told to fuck off.
