They’re so dangerous. Can’t help but think ultimately we’ll get fucked, but a definite improvement -

What has changed about that system, that Eddie said he has been working on over the international break? Other than subbing out some underperforming players and bringing back people that have returned from injury. It might work, but I was just expecting something different. -

I’m in full defeatist mode for this one. Just get it over with. Hopefully our confidence isn’t battered further into the ground. -
Tonali’s replacement?
-
Is he a DM? 2 goals in 77 games (for Everton). Need to buy goals.
-
Hard to know what he needs to do. He needs to be more proactive, but at the same time it seems when he does make a choice/change it doesn't work out or full on backfires. As a manager he is as much out of form as the players are. Also needs to shit or get off the pot with a few players.
-
His reasoning for keeping him on was needing burns height for defending set plays. I don’t agree with height over footballing ability, myself. We’ve had load of injuries so I get it, but as they come back it’s time to put round pegs in round holes, regardless of opposition.
-
My statement is true regardless of whether Eddie picks him or not. He’s not a good left back. Not sure why it’s a problem saying so without shifting the blame elsewhere.
-
He’s a hero but can be proper donkey at left back.
-
The confidence and momentum they have is gonna be horrible to play against considering we’re on the other end of that scale. It’d be in Eddie’s best interest to win, obviously. The idiots will call for his sacking if they beat us.
-
We're always banging on about not being able to make mistakes in the market, yet we chased this guy for multiple seasons and ended up spending big for him. He's surely gonna come good given all that scouting, otherwise it might be our first big whiff.
-
He does have that credit in the bank. not sure why everyone is suggesting he doesn’t. edit: but I’m don’t believe we will go on a similar run just because we did last year
-
I’m not Eddie out one bit. But are you suggesting that is sustainable?
-
I don’t envy the job on his hands. Aside from central defence and maybe Goalkeeper, the rest of the team are not functioning. That’s a fuck load of fixing needed.
-
Guy starts every season with a war cry on how he’s in a better head space and is going to push on. and we all rub our hands together with glee at the prospect of a motivated Gordon. and then nowt happens. On loop.
-
I'm starting to think he's not it. He can't be happy with how it's gone so far. I was buoyed by his interviews when he signed. Seemed smart, driven and a hard worker.
-
I'd make the change now tbh. Pope doesn't deserve to be dropped, but whatever. The season is going poorly currently so why not experiment to find new ways to play. Like Dan Burn is hardly ever bad at LB. But his individual performance doesn't mean he is automaticallly a net positive for the teams performance. Ramsdale might not make the saves pope does, but he might make us better overall.

We need our fullbacks to return. Hall and Tino are super influential on the pitch. burn needs relegating to only CB appearances.
