This was my understanding, though I wish I could fall in line with Cubs idea that we're loaded. Guehi deal would have pushed us into selling a first teamer this summer to make up the deficit, like we did with Anderson and Minteh. Though I do think it's mental to me, that the club tried to sign Guehi knowing that would be the case. Like Eddie has bemoaned losing Anderson and Minteh all season, yet we were willing to do the same again is baffling.

Whats your solution for buying players?

Longstaff is a great squad player, but if we sold him in January it would move Miley up the ranks. It's almost a win win, because as is I can't see Miley getting many minutes. Sell Sean, Miley gets experience (Howe won't loan him) and we buy a RW with money raised. I really like Longstaff so I kind of feel shit suggesting it. The clubs navigation of PSR has been canny bad.

He used to be awful for hanging on people and pulling shirts, potentially giving away pens. Seems to have cut that out almost completely 👍
