Time for Willock to come off now, looks fucked.
-
Cucarella more concerned about getting a penalty there than actually taking the shot himself.
-
Giving us fuck all, but what do you expect when he was literally the centre piece of their pre-match huddle?
-
He’s done nothing there, he got stood on.
-
If that was the other way around, you know it’s given.
-
How is that not a penalty?
-
He’s last man there like.
-
Yeah.

How much more are they needing, and how soon? -
They won’t get stuck like. There will likely be a mass sell off of players, but with that money they will be able to buy 2 teams capable of winning the Championship, without even touching other revenue sources.
-
As it stands Lincoln are no more than 4 wins away from promotion to the Championship. Quite a little rise in recent years.

Aye fucking cheers mate. I suppose whilst he was in the gym everyday being an athlete I was able to shove my face with pies, kebabs etc, it takes its toll.

I was in the same class as him. He’s massively downplaying the supporting either team. Unless games at Sunderland’s academy coincided with NUFC games, he pretty much went to every NUFC game, especially midweek games in Europe. I also remember that he went to the games against Spurs and Chelsea in the FA Cup the year we got to the semi-final. He did get a lot of stick for playing for them, but again he downplays this in the podcast, he was clear that our academy just wasn’t good enough at the time, hence why he went to them.

Bruno, Joelinton, Isak, Botman, and Thiaw all came from European clubs and aside from Hall, and Miley they have arguably been our best players in recent seasons. The question is would you rather spend £40m for another Bruno from Europe, or £40m for another Elanga or Wissa from a Premier League club?

I still love how they go on like everyone in Durham should support Sunderland, but someone in North Shields or the North Tyneside coast shouldn’t support Newcastle. Getting to the stadium of light from Durham is at least 14 miles away, the same distance as SJP to SOL is. Getting to SJP from North Shields or North Tyneside coast to SJP is 10 miles away.

The Apple logo on the sleeves of the MLS teams looks class, so simple.

Nah. It will be all outlined to be honest. Champions League price, Europa League price, Conference League price, no European football price, then performance related bonuses.

Supposed to be a well known computer company isn’t it? Sure the hints were pointing towards the likes of Apple, Microsoft, and Dell. That is for the shirt sponsor though.

Newcastle fan as well.

Staveley is a miss, however her leaving and us morphing into what we are becoming was inevitable right from the takeover. Ultimatly we were going to try and position ourselves as a global brand. That means customers from outside the area, regardless of them coming to games or not. If we can fill out our stadium/new stadium at a decent enough price point and have enough people buying corporate tickets either as tourists or as an occasional purchase, then it doesn’t matter to them if we have fans who don’t come to SJP. What matters is if they buy our merchandise through the official channels. Ultimately we were always going to have a bit of a disconnect from our traditional supporter base. So yes that means a badge redesign, yes that mean either a new stadium or a SJP revamp that looks nothing like it does today, yes that means a black & white top with different patterns to attract attention, and unfortunately yes that means we will have less direct contact with those running the club. I’m not going to sit here and slate the owners though. I’m not happy at how everytime we make a step forward, the next season we make a step backwards because we can’t buy a big enough squad. FFP has fucked us, it was its intention from the start, and unfortunately we just have to play a long game. That means we’ll not be able to compete on multiple fronts for some seasons yet. However where we have came from is a massive step forward. We have had 2 Champions League runs, this one arguably being deep into the competition. We have had good cup runs, 2 cup finals, and won a cup which I honestly never expected to see happen. I also think in our worst seasons under this ownership, we’ll still be competitive in the cups. I think that a lot of people start unfairly attacking our ownership after defeats, in particular to clubs who we aim to compete with. I guess the same can be said about Howe after certain defeats. In my opinion I do understand the frustration with the lack of new sponsors, and the lack of progress on the new training ground, and stadium. I also think announcing the plans about the change the clubs badge last season was done at a time that could have caused fan uproar at a time when we needed fans behind the club. It could easily have been done 2 weeks later at the end of the season where people would have time to clam down and talk a bit more rationally. Ultimately I think this year in particular needs to a turning point for the club. We need to make progress on the new training ground. We need to start an official conversation about the stadium, we need to see something with sponsorship/commercial income that is different from Adidas another originals/retro collection. I also think that in the summer we need to have some sort of rebuild. We have too many players who are just not good enough and should have been shipped on long ago. We also have some of our more decent players who are aging out and need to be replaced or have understudies ready before they become a liability.

At no point in our history have we ever shown that sacking off our league campaign in favour of a cup run is worthwhile.
-
His team could beat Chelsea 3-0 one week, then lose 4-0 to Crystal Palace the next week. We’ve put in performances against the big team and sacked off every single gam against the lesser clubs this season performance wise.

Willock is a fucking waste of a place.

Aye, let’s just let the dangerous players who can hit one from way out just run towards goal without any fucking pressure. It’s like they haven’t seen a football match.
