Mate of mine (an American) was crying about this on facebook earlier: http://online.wsj.com/articles/why-i-hate-american-soccer-fans-1402012291 I made him feel a little better with my response but it's hard not to agree with some of it.

Haven't clicked the the link but if the article doesn't contain the phrase 'tactically dangerous lunatic' I'm not interested. Not quite, but it does contain the phrase "organised chaos." Close enough? -

Have there been more top players getting injured in the run up to this world cup than usual? It feels like there have been a load of them. -

Hmm, a video of Rachel Riley playing keepy-up in a short dress, or a tactical analysis of Jorge Sampaoli? We're very different men, Leffe. -

While we're on the subject of Chile, some of you might enjoy this tactical breakdown of Jorge Sampaoli. http://footballmanageranalysis.wordpress.com/2014/03/12/a-tactical-analysis-of-jorge-sampaoli/ -

She got down to Brazil, Chile, and Colombia but eliminated Brazil due to the favourites never winning. Eliminated Uruguay and Argentina because they have individual players who score too many goals. Eliminated Germany, Holland and Spain because they won too many games in qualifying. I knew it would be a shit formula but I wasn't quite prepared for how shit. -
One over the line. http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m298/europawpw/ooohyeah.gif

Seems more like a young Joe Cole to me. Plenty of confidence for his age, surges forward. Not quite as a skillful as a Gazza.
-
The amount of shit passes by these professional footballers is worrying. Don't slowly roll the ball towards a teammate when he has an Ecuadorian steaming towards him. It's not rocket science you bunch of knackers.
-
Not sure why Shola opted for Nigeria. He'd fit right into this England team.
-
Pretty standard. Milner is getting froward so everyone else is sliding across.
-
half of the passes we're making are putting the recipient under immediate pressure due to the shitness/lethargy of the ball. It's like watching my under 11s.
-
Well this game is more entertaining than expected, for all the wrong reasons.
-
Rooney showing the composure that has made him one of the world's best strikers.
-
Decent header. Not sure what Milner was doing in the build up.
-
Miami piping in the Rocky soundtrack to dull the boredom of national anthems that aren't American.
-
Aye, straight swap for Chad Barrett in the off-season

Martins continues to be amazing this season. As a Sounders fan I'm pretty ok with him not going, but that head coach is a moron. -
Kevin Molino is currently USL Pro top scorer with 9, and joint top in assists with 5. He's been in the team of the week every week since the season kicked off. Watch him turn to shit next season.

FFS, we're too light on numbers to be letting anyone else go before signing replacements. Even if MYM isn't a Pardew favourite, the squad is too small. If he absolutely needs to sell MYM (although I think that would be a shit move) then he needs a replacement first. This kind of infuriating shit is going to backfire yet again.

Nah, we'll manage six points and a loss to Italy. Italy will go through top of the group two wins and draw. None of which will be convincing. Then they'll start playing in the knockout stages.
-
If Shane Long hadn't missed a shit load of chances Ireland would be ahead too The obvious difference being that you'd expect Italy to put those chances away.
-
Really liking the balance of play Italy have at the moment. Some nice passing but still pretty direct. If they had been finishing better they could be two or three up by now.
