  1. Think he's their most capped midfielder. Scores goals, too. It'll be a real shame if Chile go out because of injuries. They're one of the teams I'm looking forward to watching.
  2. Seems wasteful. Surely there's something we could be doing with them? Grass roots teams up and down the country are getting priced off of the land they use. How much can it really cost to keep the grass mowed?

Yeah, you have only a ~5000 capacity this season. So an average attendance of 4,791 isn't too bad.

They've only had 3 matches. Still great to see, but let's see what happens over the course of 2 or 3 seasons. Of course it's early days yet but look at their stats compared to OKC Energy who are also new.

http://www.kenn.com/the_blog/?p=5919 Sacramento Republic in USL Pro (3rd division) are the 10th best supported team in the United States. Great choice of market () starting a team there. Their lowest attendance this season is still bigger than the highest attendance of: Chicago, New England, Colorado, DC United, San Jose, Chivas USA
  6. I'm guessing not since the official FIFA fantasy football won't let you do anything until June 8th.
  7. Has anyone setup a world cup fantasy football league yet?
  8. If you're poor. Isn't that the case for most cities though? London seems like a right shit hole if you don't have much money to enjoy yourself but there's a reason a lot of footballers see it as a major attraction to play in. Aye, those Hackney Favelas, man.
  9. I'll take the heat for the Nigel suggestion but Evans is quality. Just a good solid all-round footballer.
  10. Not even a guaranteed starter at St. Johnstone, not particularly good and already 23 years old. Howay man Honestly where the fuck have you pulled this from? He's playing at progressively higher levels having started playing the Dutch 8th division or something. Seems to consistently score about one in six from the wing regardless. Can play as a wide man in a front three. Not saying he should be a priority target but since we're probably going to need three new wingers he'd be worth a punt as a cheap option. See if he can step up his game for the premier league. He has more competitive match experience than most of our kids.
  11. Imagine going that long without signing a permanent player.  I still stand by the principle that I would rather not sign anyone than sign someone shite. However, when we clearly need players, if we haven't been able to find someone suitable for 16 months then someone needs shooting. Ideally JK. As if JFK was to blame. We'll see. He can't have helped.

  13. Can't see us signing Bent. He was available last time around and we didn't sign him despite Pardew's obvious interest. Pardew may still fancy him but I doubt much has changed from the club's point of view. Not very good, no resale value, etc. Unless our failing to sign him was ENTIRELY down to Kinnear's bumbling or Bent had ridiculous wage demands that he no longer does. Still, don't see it happening.
  14. So in reality it's either a €60m fine... OR €20m fine & Champions League squad down to 21 players (13 foreign max) next season.
  15. Micah Richards agent's ears suddenly prick up.

  17. What's happened to Townsend, he was billed as the second coming of Christ not long back by the media. Been hampered by injuries? Although 25 games, 0 goals and 1 assist doesn't help his cause. He's still a kid. If the media leave him the f*** alone instead of heaping pressure on him and he continues to concentrate on his football then he'll still be a very good player. So if the media leaves him the f*** alone he'll be able to concentrate on his football? Shouldn't he be able to do that anyways if he has any sort of talent? Those were two separate conditions joined by an "and." I'll let you off, English being your 8th language or something. Fair enough, still, if he can't handle ''pressure'' from media he shouldn't be a footballer. That's a very broad statement to make. There's a significant difference between the pressure coaches and fans will put on him to perform at his best and the crap the media pull. He's still only 22 and may or may not have the maturity to deal with it. Some do, some don't but at his age it's never helpful. Setting unrealistic expectations and tearing him apart when he inevitably fails to meet them is never going to work out well. If some 22 year olds can deal with that then good on them. But it certainly won't have helped them. Realistic goals, targets, areas for improvement with some constructive criticism, fine. But that's not what the media supplies. Again fair enough if that's your opinion, I just don't think a 22 year old footballer should be feeling pressure from media. But then again, there are some fragile minds out there. I'm just saying, if your work performance was subjected to tabloid critique in the same way when you were 22, I imagine it would have had an affect on your work and career development.
