It was great to finally see someone take care of Robben. HE CUTS INSIDE EVERY TIME. IT'S NOT THAT HARD TO DEFEND AGAINST. Sure enough every time he cut inside over the two legs there was someone there to meet him and disposes him. Can't believe it took this long.

Bayern didn't really show up. Robben was in Coentrão's pocket again, Ribery was a little better but still no threat. Real picked up two easy goals from set-pieces. Bayern got pissy and petulant. Real scored two more... Ronaldo on a break in the first half then another from a free kick near the end. Bayern were never in it. Thoroughly deserved the result.

The Chelsea squad, on an individual basis, is class. Strikers could be better, mind. But the players alone don't win anything, winning is done by teams. They played the Liverpool game perfectly. Rodgers has been whining about Chelsea defending from the first minute, but Liverpool start games fast, what the fuck is he supposed to do? Just let you score for the sake of the neutrals watching? Fuck that. Chelsea have done Liverpool home and away and City home and away this season. That's not luck, it's not a vastly superior squad, it's using the right game plan.

You shouldn't need to take risks of you're controlling the game but that's besides the point. Mourinho bested him in 2010 with an inferior Inter side. No one expected it. If they come up against each other, you'd have to argue that Pep has the better team again, is he going to get done by Mourinho with Chelsea? That's much better than just a boring old game of football.
