That being the case he would have been sacked last season. I think he would've been sacked by now had he not turned things around this season - the 5th place finish bought him last season's failure I reckon. Yep. Finish outside the top 10 this season and I think he might be gone. Sadly finishing in the top 10 is the marker for success, avoid 5th at all costs.

It's a really shitty feeling losing one of your best players, but honestly can anyone say they're surprised? Yes, the anger is there based on the lack of ambition in being a selling club, but who isn't these days aside from the oil-rich clubs? Everyone has their price. We all felt the same when Carroll was sold but that turned out pretty well for us. I'm pissed, but wholly unsurprised. Will we replace him?
