However frustrating the whole Debuchy saga is/was and the lack of incoming action so far, for me, the blow has been largely softened by how good Amalfitano and Bigi have both looked in pre-season. Couple of young, exciting looking players we've got for next to nothing.

Disagree about selling Obertan for £3m. Such a frustrating player but obviously a very talented one who seems to suffer from a huge lack of confidence. I just think rather than sprinting past an opponent and then turning back and laying it off for whoever is behind him, he needs to be attacking the full back, making them back off or attempt a challenge because he's quick enough to beat most defenders to a knock past. He took his goal well last night, shifted it and ran onto it and fired it across the keeper, decent finish and hopefully a sign of things to come. Having said that, I'd be fucking mortified if he got many starts like...

Sorry if this has been asked already but is there any news of a third kit or will we be keeping the black one from last season? I'm only asking because we've had a third kit for years and then seemingly we return to Europe and don't have one

Scunthorpe away in the Championship season, my brothers missus was singing 'Do, do, olly, olly' until she was corrected... From my point of view - used to think extra time was 30 mins each way.

Saw 11/12 Premier League Years last night. Considering the season we had there's an embarrassingly low amount of coverage of us.

Not sure if this has been mentioned in the past but these fucking morons on Facebook posting statuses/pictures saying along the lines of "Over paid, over pampered footballers earn £250k a week while brave soliders earn £20k a year" Blatantly failing to appreciate the massive amounts of money football and football clubs generate. It's not quite like that with the armed forces you whoppers. Imagine Martin Tyler: "...and it's gone inches wide of the upright. Just a reminder that after the football here on Sky Sports 1 HD and also in 3D, we have highlights of the Falklands War"

Hypothetically lads, if you were in RvPs position and your choices were stay put, Man United or Man City - where would you go?

I thought this thread was about Vurnon Anita

If he does, he does. If Inter want him that badly, they'll surely react accordingly to any further bids we make. Their manager has said that they need to find a replacement first. So, it's logical to assume that there'll be little movement until they get one. I don't think anybody doubts that really, but then it's also logical to assume that other clubs could become interested in him. It's hardly a surpise that fans become frustrated with things like this - he's a top international full back in a position that we need to strengthen. I don't doubt that we have other targets in case this does fall through, but surely we all want the same thing? It's not unreasonable to be frsutrated.

As I said, just because the whole thing has gone on so long and lets face it, that's not how we've operated these last couple of years. It's purely frustration born from a desire for us to sign a top quality player before other clubs come sniffing around. We were close to signing Modric a few years ago were we not? Then Spurs nicked in and his head turned. Nothing wrong with being frustrated and wanting to 'Get him over the line' as Pards would say.
