  1. Barton has every right to say what he's said. He had every right to create negative headlines for the club by speculating about the future of other players? Bugger off, man. Indeed.
  2. Pards: "Yohan, how do you feel about wearing the number fou..." "...ive shirt this season?"
  3. That expression, man You just know he's thinking of something firearm related.

Wait until he joins Wolves or West Brom. "Delighted to sign. I come from a long line of Wolves fans, I actually have a baseball cap signed by Steve Bull. Look, see that? S Bull. Yeah I'm definitely a Wolves fan. Have been all my life"

How do you know Pards didn't agree to the sale? That's my point. He probably did, maybe he's been promised what KK and Hughton were promised, "we'll get mad replacements, innit. here's a youtube link, mate." Well then fair enough. The signing of Cabaye looks an excellent one. And there was obvious interest in Gervinho and Gameiro. The board are seemigly willing to back Pardew financially. Genuinely can't see why Pardew would have stood in the way of Nolan leaving if we're aiming for a top 10 finish. Bottom line - Kevin Nolan is not good enough for a top 10 Premier League team and I, for one, am glad the club (whether it was Pardew, Ashley or both) realise that.

One that scored more than Rooney. Maybe so but I think everyone will be in agreement that Rooney is slightly more influential and useful on a football pitch.

Not just one player they're selling though because the likes of barton and enrique are next to leave the circus run by the biggest and dafest clown of all time, mike ashley. And who are we bringing in? Neil f**king Taylor and some lille player with f*ck all premier league experience. Come on man, if you go for players with Premier League experience then 90% of the time you over pay. There are countless examples of players who have no Premier League experience and come in and do well. We signed Tiote for, what, £3.5m from FC Twente? If we sold him to a Premier League team now, how much would he be worth? £15m+? Tiote is not worth 15 million no club would pay that for him 8 million would be more like it he is very good for us but he is no michael essien. Couldn't agree more that Essien is superior but he cost £24m. Tiote is worth at least £15m in the current climate imo.
  11. Fair enough they got us back into the Premier League relatvively comfortably but lets not forget it was the majority of them that had us down in the Championship in the first place.

Seems to be a hugely negative reaction to this news. I don't get it. Team spirit can be built in many ways, not solely due to one player, the dressing room will recover from this sale and move on. Also, on the pitch, Kevin Nolan plays a full 90 minutes and doesn't score. 9 times out of 10 we don't realise he was ever on the pitch. Plus, where was the Premier League interest in him? The only club and manager combo daft enough to offer him the contract he wants? Fat Sam and West Ham. You couldn't make it up. I hate to say I have faith in this board but I think they've done the right thingin this instance. I just hope we move on from this with signings that prove they made the right decision.

Aye. Didn't he also get along famously with Andy Carroll? The same Andy Carroll that, rather than attempting to persuade him to stay, encouraged him to leave.

Exactly this. Glad it's happening now, leaving ample time for replacements to be made. Completely agree that if we have ambitions of top 10/Europe then we need to upgrade Kevin Nolan to a midfielder who can chip in a handful of goals a season while contributing to other areas of play too, Nolan just doesn't do that. Football is played on the pitch, not in the dressing room.

Influential character in the dressing room by all means but seemingly lazy on the football pitch. If we can address the issue of not having a goalscoring centre forward then we won't rely on Nolan's goals to get us the odd few points and replace him with a more mobile, agile midfielder. Sorry to see him go as a captain and a character for the team but not so much as a player on the pitch.
  17. They're selling one of this at the Heart Foundation in Eldon Square. I had this one with Hamman on the back I think, then we sold him. I did the same with Ferguson. I was livid. My missus wore this one when preggers with my Daughter, got Shearer 9 on the back in Gold. Lush and still in good condition. The top not my wife.

  20. Depends. If he could stay fit then of course he'd be worth a punt on reasonable wages. However, there's a huge question mark over his knee (?) isn't there? Hence the failed transfer to Stoke City. If he agreed to some sort of contract where he got paid less while his knee is knacked or if he was out long term we could cancel his contract then he'd be a great signing. Not going to happen though Would take him on a pay-as-you-play deal definitely. Was one of the few plus points last season for West Ham.
