The second comment: "C'est une info qui vient de The Northern Echo." Reminds me of: http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/hprofile-ak-snc4/41482_100000337511179_1001_n.jpg

http://www.footballuser.com/Formations/2011/06/125903_Dream_Team.jpg And the reserve squad... http://www.footballuser.com/Formations/2011/06/125921_Dream_Team.jpg

Has he still not made his mind up yet?
-
Fuck me. Robbie Keane? No thanks. Honest to god I'd be distraught if he was one of our targets. Judging by the Gameiro/Gervinho links I'd seriously doubt he was mind.
-
What benefit would scrapping the reserve team have to the club?
-
Was it on here I read about his shitty attitude? Fucking hate young lads in football being gobby, outspoken little cretins before they've even come close to the first team. Good riddance if that's the case.
-
Blatantly been gobbling lots of Glazer cock to get a new deal. Wish he'd fuck off and die the repugnant little shit. Ferguson should be ashamed of himself. So should Owen the abhorrent cunt.
-
Aye, but are the club staying silent because we haven't made a bid or because they don't want that bid to become public knowledge and, as Lorient would presumably want, to start a bidding war.
-
If i was a man would you ask me this question ?? I don't think so... I really regret telling you that i was a woman, mainly because we cannot have interesting football debate. He asks me all the time. So, got a pic?
-
Sad news this like. Not sure where the 'blame' would fall, hopefully not at Joey's feet though. We've stood by him very well and I'd be pissed off if he's the problem.
-
Would anybody be disappointed if every player we sign this summer is from abroad? Can't say I would be myself, wondered what you lot thought.
-
If i knew that we couldn't express our opinion in your forum, i would never sign... I only wanted to warn you that it will be very complicated for Newcastle to sign those players, but as we say in french 'l'espoir fait vivre'. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/chrischarles/delboy595.jpg

Thought originally that €10m was a bit low for someone of Gameiro's talent and current standing, interesting that he's only got 1 year left on his contract though. Can see other clubs coming in for him but would like to think that first team football will be a factor for him. Would he be an automatic first choice at a bigger club?
-
Sell Enrique for £10 million, buy M'Bengue for £7 million. Find a 'quality' RB that will only cost £3 million? His contract is up in 12 months, there's no way we'll get £10m for him.
-
Aye, see above!
-
Of course it would man. If he'd announced a budget of £25m and we still hadn't identified/succeeded in our targets by late August we'd be shafted by clubs knowing we still had that money sitting there waiting to be spent. Same if we went in for a player early doors too, mind. If we play it clever we could get far better deals this summer without announcing our budget. We picked up Tiote for £3.5m and Ben Arfa for £5m this season. Genuine quality for what, in this day and age, is peanuts for International class players. It serves no purpose for anybody at the club to announce how much we have/don't have to spend, what good could it possibly do? I'm not sure how transfer deals work (I'm sure it's not as easy as it is on FM) but if a player comes available who we're interested in and we speak (privately) to the club and tell them we have, for arguments sake, £7m left of our seasons budget, they could become interested to sell at that price. Whereas if we say we have £15m left they could say "We'll sell to you for £10m". Just can't see how it would benefit anybody other than those impatient enough to want to know our budget, and the selling clubs. EDIT: Just re-read your post Dave and noticed the 'without revealing what it was' bit Apologies

Pretty much what I was getting at only seconds before!
-
Looks like a template job to me. Aye, does to me too. Looks like something someone has knocked up who has completed 6 or 7 seasons on FM and got bored of the blue one!
-
For fuck sake some of you. Even if Ashley has promised money (privately) for transfers, Pards is hardly gonna blurt out in an interview/presser: "Yes, I had a chat with Mike and we've got £25m+ to spend this summer". That would only serve to add £2, 3, 4 million onto a players valuation when we became interested. It's not the way to do business. Remember the 'No Capital Outlay' speech last summer? We all thought we were doomed but we actually managed to have a very good window. I can understand having reservations about Ashley/Llambias based on their previous but please don't make assumptions on our summer transfer activity based on a few vague quotes from Pards. Unless there is some kind of official club statement relating to a lack of transfer funds then I'm holding out for a decent window.

I mean they don't play the game the way it should be played. Of course, not many teams do but few do it with the ugliness of Stoke City. I could be Stoke born and bred but I'd die if I had to watch that shite every week.
-
Stoke City boil my fucking piss. Cannot stand them. Anti-Football bastards.
-
Wish people would stop comparing Hughton and Pardews results. As Sicko said, Carroll won us a fair few on his own and Pards hasn't had much luck in the way of injuries. fwiw Pards is close to winning me over, we've played some good stuff under him at times, can't be easy with the shit he's got at his disposal. Fair play to him, he might not have been anyone's first choice when Hughton was sacked but we need stability here and he should be judged when he's had the off season to begin shaping the squad his way. He's well on his way to winning me over, it's going to be an interesting summer.
