As a right back, yeah. He was nowhere near that position on Saturday though. Another one where the performance > expectations.

Another epic contribution to a thread brought to you by Fak.

He was alright yesterday tbh, showed some lovely touches.

I'm not concerned with Elanga's crossing given that he's going to be most effective on fast breaks anyway. Most of his good work will be cutting in or just pegging it forward from his own half.

I actually like the sound of this.

Poor end product, think he fluffed each cross. However, he skinned his man with ease each time and he's going to win so many free kicks in dangerous positions. Once we've got a proper striker in and around the box I think we'll see him shine.

Gary retired years ago mate.

Should be celebrating the fact that we've seemingly found a good one but all I can think of at the moment is PSR. Really impressed with him, bar one or two little moments that you'd probably expect from an 18 year old making his home debut. Hope the east stand are kind to him.

Who's left to gazump us on the Samu deal then?

An available striker, you say...

That's really nice, but I'm not paying £100 for it. It's a £60 purchase at most.

I know you're like 12 or something but that's wild.

I'd be canny annoyed if something Man Utd are doing is causing a delay with our potential new stadium. Not that I believe it but it would make sense. If Manchester receive an injection of 100 million worth of taxpayer funding then why shouldn't every club who wants a new stadium?

When has Eddie Howe ever done that at Newcastle though? Did people sleep through Chris Wood's time here

Al-Nassr can offer an important wage though.

Samu, for about 30 million more than we could have had him this summer.
