Lijnders obviously saw something at Liverpool that he hasn't shown at Salzburg. I remember being gutted when he left us to go to Liverpool and I've always wondered if he regretted leaving us just before the takeover.

He's struggling massively over there, not even making their matchday squads these days. Needs to start again in the Championship imo.

Assuming we keep growing at our current rate (28% reported for the 12 months ending 30 June 2024) then we should be okay as that will allow us financial clout to improve each year regardless of what the others do. There are a few players out there that I can think of (and likely a lot more) who would improve our current first team squad from mid table teams in France, Germany and Spain for example that Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester won't be looking at.

I get people saying they're not arsed if they come up but I can't imagine any of their bigger names sticking around too long if they don't make it this season. Some random French Ligue 1 club will be in for Le Piss surely.
