Well what I'd really want is a return to the cycles of success pre-Sky but it's so money-orientated now that that seems long gone. A worldwide wage cap (something 'modest' like £40k/week after tax) with TV revenues evenly spread might even things out a bit, but it's impossible to enforce. It will be interesting to see the effect of the financial fair play rules but I suspect the effects will be minimal at best. Looking back on it and trying to be objective, barring crowd bother, 70's/80's football seemed to be the best by a long way, especially in terms of "who's going to win what? etc." Wouldn't suprise me if in 10 years there is a Euro Superleague given the way La Liga & the Prem are going. Doubt it. It's only the PL and La Liga and possibly Seria A that have 'dominant' teams. France, Germany, Holland, Portugal, Ireland, Belgium etc all have a few teams pushing for the title. Having Man U, Chelsea, Barca, Real, Inter and AC in their own league would be horrendous.

I'd be more inclined to accept this shit if Ashley just changed the colours of the logo to Black and Grey for example. Having random bits of red and blue dotted around the stadium looks more tatty than the logo itself.

Oh, Steve Bruce, with your face like a waterlogged pillow. With your face like a vexed mango.

Which Sunderland players reside in Newcastle? At this point it's probably worth pointing out that Gateshead and Northumberland are not part of Newcastle. most newcastle players live in newcastle and its suburbs, how many sunderland players, for the record, actually live in sunderland? plenty of footballers who have played for both newcastle and sunderland have ended up living in Newcastle city centre. Has a single player from either team EVER lived in sunderland city centre? how come you don't find Newcastle players clamouring to live in Albania on wear? Odd, isnt it? Kieran Richardson and a few SAFC players live(d) in the Echo 24 flats near the Wearmouth Bridge. My mate used to live there and often saw him in the lift. Quinny has a place in there also. Several SAFC players live in the Ashbrooke area of the city, which is very nice and there are a few others in other parts of the city as well. There aren't many in the city centre, but that is perhaps something to do with the fact that there isn't much choice in terms of posh apartments. The majority of those living on the Quayside on Tyneside live in Gateshead (Baltic Quays). I'm not suggesting for a second that some SAFC players don't live or go out in Newcastle (though Darras is in Northumberland in point of fact), but this notion that no SAFC players live, drink or eat on Wearside is just that: a myth. Randy, you talk alot of sense for a mackem. You're an upgrade on the last mong but that sentence is bollocks. Let's be honest here, those players live near Newcastle because that's where everything half decent is. There's no two ways about it so let's not play games. If there were lots of plush luxury apartments in Sunderland city centre I think some players would happily live in them. It doesn't mean they would have to go 'out' in Sunderland. They opened the Echo 24 ones and players/staff moved in subsequently e.g. Richardson and Quinny. A player living in Sunderland doesn't preclude them from going into Newcastle if they so wish. I'm not going come on here and argue against claims that Newcastle has a nicer city centre than Sunderland; it should do given the greater level of money invested in the place. However, as I said earlier, this notion that no Sunderland players live in Sunderland, or would ever eat in restaurants there or go out in the town is tripe. I'm not saying all our players do but plenty do. Those Echo24 flats are total shit, like The Bar in town. When you pull up from the bridge to the traffic lights a lot of windows literally just have sheets up as curtains. The place is literally a set shitbox plasterboard flats for people who earn £1300ish a month. Considering THAT is the best quality modern living in Sunderland says a hell of a lot about why most players live in Durham or Newcastle. Saying that, Sunderland does indeed have a nandos, so that's your black lads sorted.

Llambias will sit with a lawyer one night and draft answers that are airtight but tell us absolutely fuck all. Like someone's just said, expect nowt but generic positive statements which dont give us anything near a satisfactory answer.

Wait a minute, I remember that man. He was sent a pic of a pornstar holding a bit of paper and there was something proper crudely written on with mspaint?

Aye that confused me a bit there like. Was thinking "eh they don't use dirhams in turkey do they?"

The SD logo on the roof is just a massive tarpaulin anyway. It would take just a few hours to remove/replace it.

That will 100% happen. 100% it wont happen. It could have easily happened when Ashley took over but there's a reason it hasn't. Aye, the contract with Northen Rock Hasn't that deal been resigned in his time here? When the Puma deal was agreed? Two different things: kit deal, shirt sponsor. Aren't we talking about Sports Direct sponsoring the shirts?

if you genuinely think Ba is a better player than Carroll , i've got nothing to say anymore. mind you , form is temporary class is permanent Doesn't that completely negate your argument given that Ba has been an absolutely lethal striker for 6 years where as Carroll has had 6 prolific months at the top level and 6 which where very hit and miss? Ba never play top level football until Hoffenheim promoted 3 years ago ,never scored more than 15 goals a season, and i don't think he will improve anymore, while Carroll show he's a up and rising talent with his 6 months EPL performance , that's what i think so whats his record at the top level only ? He won't answer that, fact is Ba has scored a lot of goals at every level he has played in. It wasn't that long ago when a few were saying "£4m for Carroll from Stoke? f*** yeah!?". The argument is so flawed. wasn't around just now got this from wiki Hoffenheim 08-09 35(14) 09-10 18(5) 10-11 20(9) west ham 10-11 13(7) newcastle 11-12 3(0) i'm not saying Ba is a shit striker , but i just think Carroll will be better than him Ba is shit.

Is Mike Ashley the worst person ever to have been associated with NUFC?

I honestly want this cunt knifed in the stomach the next time he's at a home match. In full view of the sky cameras. -
I stayed at the hotel on Pyrmont Street in Darling Harbour years ago. Would love to go back there.
