Gets it back in the form of profit/break-even depending on the price met I presume? bingo, its basically a debt that should get absorbed by the profit (ahem...) when he sells...Id need to sit down and think about it properly to get it right in my head but basically i still think Ashley overpaid massively and has just been playing catchup ever since.

If this lad had continued developing at the rate he was, untroubled, we wouldnt be signing him for £5mil...just like Ben Arfa's attitude, there isa reason we are able to get him and for so cheap, and that is his recent stunted development...personally, i think this is an amazing signing for any club outside of European football, and even Europa League/Champions League teams apart from the very very top 2 or 3 would be ecstatic for that price. I cant see a negative tbh...depends on his wages ofcourse but even if he was poor for us, can you see us not recouping the outlay unless it got down to the last year of his contract? win-win tbh... jinxed us...

Is his stock as high as it was in january? id break the club record but its bad if we sell a player, he has an indifferent spell at another club and we sign him back for the same price...still think he'd be class again if used properly...

I think he is stronger at right back but can play left back...ideal scenario would be him and Pieters or Cissohko (sp?) coming in, but if Santon comes in at left back and can cover for right back every now and again then im more than game...a 2-footed full back of quality, fantastic!

Isn't "impact player" just a handy euphemism to describe someone who can't cut it for the full 90 minutes? kind of like Walcott earlier in his career...(or now unless he plays his absolute best...) but yeah mainly like against Arsenal, he seems more confident to dictate play with his pace when the game is stretched due to tiredness later on. The famous showdown sprint with Sagna wouldnt have happened right at the start of the game when Sagna was full of energy, nor would it have happened with Obertan having been on for 70mins... just my opinion like, but id take that for £3mil tbh...

Leon Best is 24...tbh i reckon its just laziness...its a lack of concentration which he can ill-afford, its not like he is first choice let alone automatic first choice. I love Best mind, he has a good skill set but his offsides are frustrating.

He has a bit of the Jonas-esque refusing to attack...he has the ability and the pace to beat a man but sometimes just refuses to and launches a pass back to Colo or Tiote...Jonas was much better today with this and go his head up a bit more, but Obertan dissapointed again...maybe he is destined to be an impact sub?

with the positioning of it over empty seats, it is like he is advertising our inability to sell out...i look forward to the days of preseason games where all of level 7 is closed off for friendlies with a massive Sports Direct banner, or atleast a few No Fear ones...
