Lost for waords, tbh. And i honestly thought carroll was the best player on the field, despite not scoring in a 5-1 win. To be fair though i thought our entire team played superbly well.
-
I thought he looked out of sorts for the first 80 minutes last night, had the touch of a donkey at times. But there was a couple of flashes in the last ten minutes that made me sit up. One was a pass to carroll (i think), bent with with outside of his left foot. Nobody else in our squad, after barfa, could have made or even considered that pass. It was sublime. So yeah, the kids talented and needs minutes.

I guess i fall into the same category as many on this board. I started going to games with my dad when i was in primary school, when you could just queue up and pay (i think) about £2.80 to get in. Then as we got older i was going every week, with a gang of mates that became season ticket time, and the inevitable away game. Then as you start earning a fair bit it was most away games too. But alas women come along, and houses and cars and weddings and shit. The away games get knocked on the head, which is a shitter because i would say 85% of the best times were away from home. So these day i get to about half or just over half of the home games.
-
Indeed. Although i don't think other clubs fans knock us. I live quite a hike from the toon (3 hours each way for every home game) and i'm surrounded by man united, liverpool and leeds fans. And every single one of those guys (who attend games regularly) will freely admit that our support is better than their own.

Look how skinny he is To be fair he's not actually that skinny. Just compared to his immenseness now he seemed skinny.

Rooney will be gone next summer so they won't be paying it for too long.

Fully agree with the krul comments. We haven't had a keeper who comes for and consistantly takes crosses for well over a decade, and it's a massive boost to the central defenders.
-
I might be imagining it, or maybe it's the new puma kit but he seems to be getting bigger all the time. Like hulk. His biceps are bigger than my thighs!
-
I thought barton came inside way too much and at times in the first half left simpson seriously exposed, played very well apart from that though.
-
Excellent away win for us, the passing and movement was great and we looked reasonably solid. Thought carrolls work rate was superb and needed a mention. I'l tell you what else like, i'l be surprised if west ham are premier league team next season.

Very impressed with him today.

Every time i see the sky sports player intro bit with taylors massively gay tache it makes me chuckle. And williamsons wapper fringe needs cut.

I thought nolans family still lived in lancashire?
-
He's stuck out on the 'wrong flank' because he's convinced himself, and has convinced the coaching staff, that he's a left sided player. He's not. You can play a right sided player on the left if he's got a cracking shot when he cuts inside and is capable with his weaker foot, neither capability he posesses. Also, because he runs like a drunken giraffe he's off balance 95% of the time when he's crossing the ball. With his wrong foot. It's not a good formula.

Nolan 'picked up a knock in training' - Colo captain. Cheers. I'd have had my money on barton for captain.
-
Yes i have been under a rock lately, what's up with nolan and who's captain?
-
Ranger has a gangster limp even when he's standing still.
-
Colo is a midget for a CB.
-
The way i see it, if we stay up - he'll be here next year.
-
That's the thing that gets me. He was singled out as the guy who could hurt them and de jong wanted to hit him hard. In any other walk of life de jong would be up in court over it. I just hope we take care of the kid, stay up, and start over next year. I'm genuinely gutted for him.
-
Doesn't mean we can't. Just means we don't have to. We'll be able to monitor his fitness, send a cheap bid to Marseille, and watch how no-one else is interested because of fitness question marks. Assuming we stay up, of course.

I right kick in the bollocks, that. I'm gutted for us and gutted for ben arfa. He has talent and creativity oozing out of his arse, the one thing we've lacked for years. Coming back from an injury like that can often be mentally very difficult, so even if he heals 100% he still may never be the same. Here's hoping he get back to the level he was at and become the player he was meant to be. Whether it's for us or somebody else.

I was fair pissed on sunday but i'm sure he pinged a 50 yard pass out to the wing, if stevie g had of done it andy gray would have wanked himself off. Blokes wasted at centre half.
-
I reckon in a way the pressure is off Krul. Even if he drops a clanger tomorrow he's still starting the next game, and the next. Fingers crossed for the lad, hopefully he'll have the starting spot for years to come.

I don't know about anyone else, but watching blacburns goal last weekend - a sixty yard punt, diouf intentionally taking the keeper out, and a clogger heading into an empty net. Fuck me i'm glad we got rid of that twat.
