If it's showing no events it'll be a problem with the site. Possibly maintenance? I'd just check again tomorrow and it should be up and running. That was our fans. I'm sure it wasn't.

Leeds fans singing that Jimmy Saville song just absolutely baffles me.

I've just had a quick look on rawk because I'd love the scousers feelings on safe standing. I think they'd be mostly for it but I'm basing that on God knows what. Even if the average fan would still prefer to sit I can't fathom why you wouldn't want a safe standing area at your club.
-
Does he believe in God though, that's what I want to know? Deals off if he does. The fucking imbecile!

If we're gonna spend time and money altering grounds for this shite then it would be a great time to trial safe standing in England. In away sections at first cause away fans stand non stop anyway.

For the first time in over a decade we have a manager who I honestly believe could land us a trophy. That alone has turned the club around 180 degrees.

You want to watch sir Clive Woodward interviewing Roy hodgson on Sky telly. When he gives a rugby perspective on how footballers take penalties it's brilliant.

For security reasons I don't think you could have away fans in the Milburn. The only bits available are the old paddocks and getting away fans in and out if there would be nigh on impossible.
-
The name of the game with this away fans stuff doesn't suit SJP at all, because you want the away fans away from the view of the main TV camera. And pitchside in the Milburn / leazes isn't happening.

Getting the winners of Bristol City v Hull or Leeds v Norwich at home would be a great draw for us. Aye and they're playing Chelsea so guaranteed to have at least one London club in the draw. Spurs and Arsenal are still in it too. For reasons i cannot fathom i'd like to go to the Olympic stadium, despite the likelihood of getting my head kicked in.

I'm in London that week, would love an away tie at a London side. West Ham are still in it aren't they?

Matt Ritchie (now Technical Director at Bournemouth)

Tbf every part Scottish kid I ever knew grew up thinking he was William Wallace. Half of them hadn't even been to Scotland but they but they claimed it was their dad swinging on the crossbar at Wembley in '77. Or whenever was they weren't shit. -
Birmingham is their proper derby, not wolves. Is it? So it's like us vs Boro then? It's still embarrassing.
-
Villa close the upper tier of the main stand and still can't sell out what's left for their local derby. Yikes!
-
We'll score early, settle into it, then if we can avoid conceding in the 44th minute I'm confident we'll get an easy 3-0 or something like that.

I used to love man united away. Knowing we'd get bummed but not caring at all. "legs off" if anyone remembers that guy? First year in ages I missed we got a draw, that was about nine years ago and I haven't been since.

Wasn't slap your lass with a Christmas tree mentioned on here recently? I still have no idea what it means, if anything.

He was aye. I didn't know who he was, the best answer I could get was some nutter who entertains the troops on Anglo Italian cup trips.

7,000 locked out that day. Every match after that was all ticket. Remember the panic when they locked the gates at the Gallowgate with 1000s legging it round to the Leazes as word went round that there was still a bit of space in there as we stood there smug watching them all because we had our season tickets. I think that was the first game I went to with my mates, we were fifteen. We'd managed to score some bottles of K cider for on the train, but being obviously underage drinking them was a bit tricky. I wasn't even aware there was so many locked out. I just remember the police on horses separating the queues, two abreast lads. All that shite. Trying not to get drooled on by the horse! It was even something mental like £3.75 to get in in.

Trump aside I'm enjoying this. Rozalla!

The last few months under Rafa has almost made me forget who still owns the club. I wouldn't say I forgive Ashley but if he stays in the background and lets Rafa run the show we'll be fine. And i'm happy enough with that scenario. Rafa is up there with sir bobby without a doubt. If either of those two men said to me, right son straight from the kick off I want you to sprint at their centre half and headbutt him, i'd do it without question. And I think that's how almost all of our squad feel.
