Absolutely not, it's an outrageous finish. No keeper in the world is saving it

It could just be Bradfords legs going but he destroyed their back line when he came on
-
Very professional performance that, where our superiority was evident throughout. I was kind of surprised at how Bradford set up, they seemed to try and get at us, and not sit in, which just allowed us all sort of space, and we capitalised early, and at that point the game was gone. If Miley hadn't given away the ball for their goal (what a fucking finish btw), he would have probably been my man of the match, but it's got to be Bruno, he properly took the piss at times, it's great when he's in that mood. Woltemade looked quality when he came on, it feels like he and Barnes could form a decent partnership, which if the later can rediscover his shooting boots could be lethal. Big Willy put in a proper striker performance, with two quintessential strikers finishes, a ball in behind and a tap in, hopefully that does his confidence wonders. Enjoyable evening that.

That goal was quality from Barnes, Bruno and Joelinton.

Proper strikers finish that.

This half has kind of proven to me the whole "he doesn't pass forward" thing is tactical, or atleast him following tactical instructions to the letter. He's played a load of line breaking balls throughout, and little intricate passes which break their press, and it's not coincidence that's come in the one game that he's playing that Tonali role.

I can't remember the last time we looked noticeably a level above an opposing team. Obviously we've battered teams over the last few years, but that half felt like our players are on a different level, much quicker in speed, strength and more importantly thought.

He was rested because he needed a rest

Hadn't realised his first yellow was for throwing the ball away due to disagreeing with a referee's decision. That must be the stupidest double yellow of all time
-
If we get through, which is no given, these are a tough side in great form, but Liverpool at home would be laughs

Just as an FYI, we're not in the habit of locking threads unless there is a genuinely legitimate reason for it, such as a debate going over the top, a thread being duplicated, or it has been made redundant etc. An ex-player being a tit and leaving in an unsavoury manner does not fit that criteria, and no amount of asking is going to change that.

Last season Wilson missed 29 games though various injuries. Wissa will miss 7 games if he's back for Brighton, and miss 7 games due to AFCON if DR Congo get to the final, so a total 14 games. So to answer your question, no, we would not have been better.

For the pre Bradford Press-conference from Eddie Howe: "He's receiving treatment. No operation needed. We're looking the other side of the international break and hoping he'll be fit and available for that first game."
-
Its probably FIFA trying to legitimise the Club World Cup, by including him for scoring and being influential in the final.

Looking at the current options available, who do Villa get if they sack Emery? As all the available options are a step down, by a big distance too, and people like Silva and Iraola are a risk.
