As a side note, I do think part of the reason why everyone's emotions are so heightened is that we now live in a time where we are literally bombarded by information, from thousands of people all shouting into the void for clout and worth, with an apparent need to get ahead of the rest, so every single piece of information of a particular transfer, or proposed transfer gets shouted from hundreds of people, with some having a clear agenda and others just making things up. All of that leads to a situation where it gets peoples backs up, and make it feel like everything is so suffocating. Honestly, just switching your brain off as much as you can and ignoring everything, and just seeing where we end up is quite cathartic.

I get this summer has been horrendous, but I still can't believe there are people backing this absolute chancer.
-
Not really, if you take the emotion out of it, we've improved at RW and potentially in goal, and have basically the same squad as last season that finished 5th, and as of right now have had no major outgoings.

This Jackson "rumour" feels like it is the epitome of agent driven nonsense like.

Just a reminder lads, it's summer, the sun's out, go outside and climb a mountain or something, forget about the football, it's good for your mental state of mind... Or do some hard drugs, it'll probably put you in a better mental state than this post tbh.

If you ignore the "defensive" part of this defenders game, I like the look of him.

TBG's hit rate is unapparelled.

Wank behaviour, I'm going to drink a can of Monster in protest like.

By not bowing down like good little servants to the big 6, and putting ourselves out there to get elite talent.
-
But there is not real indication that he's picked one or the other, no credible journalist has said he has a preference yet. I swear people just want to get their knickers in a twist for the sake of it.

Lads we've literally bid more.

By "meltdown" do you mean contrived acting to generate clicks?

That Fulham game was horrendous, me and @Lenny where in Italy and we managed to convince some pub owner to show the game despite neither of us speaking Italian, we ended up drinking a fair amount and getting a bit irate at it. Later in the week we met an English couple and they mentioned how the only other Brits they'd come across that week where some drunk football lads, which happened to be at the same pub, time and date as that Fulham game and how thankfully we where nothing like them. We didn't tell them

Bruno and Tonali personally, but thats probably just a personal thing as I tend to think Midfield is where games are won and lost the most.

I know selling Isak is rough, especially to Liverpool (the biggest pack of cunts around) but ultimately, what we're doing here is what a lot of people have said we've needed to do for a while to negate PSR issues, buying someone who's stock is relatively low compared to their talent, and than selling high, while extracting maximum value out of the "asset", and just being better when it comes to player trading. It just hurts as he's our third most important player.
-
I would agree with you, but this is by all accounts the same sort of fee we bid on for Ekitike, so clearly there is some lined up thinking going on.

I don't know if it's because I'm now over 30, or it's just that I've been all in on the Cricket the last few months and kind put football to the side, but I swear I'm a lot mellower than I used to be (it could also be that it's 22:30 and I'm shattered) This signing would be exciting, really exciting, it shows that we can attract the best young talent around, and the clubs project it still heading in the right direction, but I just feel content about it, not excited, not downtrodden like some apparently, no raw emotion just content and mellow. I'm like it with the Isak situation, though that's easier, as if you're not going to give 100% for the club, kindly fuck off, I'd rather a squad of Murphy's than a squad of players who will happily throw the team under the bus.
-
I don't know why, but I'd love us to pick someone up from the Championship and for them to be mint. A bit like Palace and Villa have done well over the last few years.

Pizza Rob apparently backdated our signing, the 49th signing we last made was... Jesus Gamez
