This commentator keeps saying that Saka is giving Murphy a torrid time, when he's actually started pretty well from what i've seen. -

That was actually a really nice move, we did well to break their press and push forward. -

The crowd having to fan themselves in the stands doesn't bode well for the quality of match were about to watch. -
Lads, can we please stop bumping 18 year old threads

The football season in England officially starts on Friday, how the hell has that come around so quickly, feels like just yesterday the Palace won the FA cup

Alright Donald. -
Andy Howe has been at the club for years, and with Howe for a lot longer and by all accounts is good at his job, he's just not a director of football. Don't really get the hate towards him personally, infact I find it baffling.

I've found completely ignoring it, and just focusing on the Cricket and the watching the drama of the Traitors thread unfold to be a lovely distraction

Thats fucking hilarious like
-
Thats not technically true like, we have signed a player in the the position that has been most needed over the past few years.
-
He's won us a trophy, he easily already is

Its another word for "Baller".
-
Eh? When did we ever scout and sign players like this lad, Minteh, Pivas and Cordero under Ashley?
-
I'm glad i'm not making that up, could have sworn it was the case. Its beside the point, but we'd only just got into the Champions League, so realistically what kit manufacturer is going to be paying close to what the top 6 where making? People act like its a one way transaction, its not, and £30m a year at the time was considered a good deal.
-
Don't forget there are rules in place for signing commercial deals that are "fair market value" in relation to the perceived value of the club, that Adidas deal probably couldn't get close to £50 million a year that the big 6 get as the Premier League wouldn't sign it off. We're getting £30 million a year, Aston Villa are only getting £17 million from the same company.

I really can't get behind this "Everything is inexcusable and they're shite" rhetoric like. They've been here for 4 years, in that time there actions have gotten us safe from near certain relegation, 2 Champions League campaigns and a cup win. Maybe i'm just naive but the constant negativity this summer from the press and some in the fanbase just rings absolutely hollow to me, these past few years have easily been the best period of supporting the club in my lifetime, and you genuinely wouldn't know it by how some have gone on.
