"Its a mess", does the man not know how notice periods work? The whole point is to hand over responsibilities to others

Apparently the Premier League now do kit reveals for the referees FWIW it looks as cheap and tacky as Puma has done for a long time

Tom Cleverly the new Plymouth manager.

What does any of that matter? The point is each of them players gained a lot of experience in that last tournament which helped them in the following seasons. Thats the point, and that's something that will likely benefit Tino especially from a leadership perspective, and is way more beneficial than a game against freaking Andorra. Also Gordon had played a lot of minutes for Everton the two seasons prior to the tournament, and played over 4000 minutes of first team action, and you failed to mention Tonali, who had played basically every minute of a Champions League campaign where they reached the semi-finals, before going to the under 21s.

There where two options for him this summer: 1) To play in a meaningful tournament, get further big game experience in a tournament environment, play in big stakes games, and be a leader among the squad and learn how to hone them skills further. 2) To play a friendly match, and a game against Andorra, where he will likely only have gotten some token minutes. Clearly for his long term prospects number 1 is the better option, and England absolutely made the right decision, along with Anderson, Gray, Quansah etc. The same how all of Gordon, Tonali, Palmer, Gibbs-White & Pedro Neto's development was helped during the last Under 21's Euros 2 years ago. Joe Hart was saying on comms last night that he owed a lot of his development to the experience he got in his two Under 21 tournaments that he was a part of, and how that helped him feel more at ease when he played in tournaments further down the line, as well as big games in his club career. So I don't understand this view that "He's past U21's Football", if you're eligible, and their isn't bigger fish to fry, then you absolutely should be going to the tournament, its all valuable experience that will make him a better footballer in the long run. And besides, he probably wants to be their playing

So quality signings that help take us to the next level? Give me more of that.

I'm guessing Frank will go down as a legend at Brentford right? It's weird as due to the way they operate, it feels like they don't really attach themselves to players and staff members, a bit like Brighton.

It is some achievement that Pardew isnt my most hated manager of my lifetime like, it's a testament to Bruce really, takes some next level twatishness to beat Pardew, and here we are

Bagpipes playing continuously in a football match should be illegal. Horrific.

Cristian Chivu new Inter manager.

Its going to be very interesting to see who Brentford go for, and how they go next season. Frank has done wonders at that club, and he's going to be hard to follow.

Spain are the best national side in the world, and I don't think it's particularly close either.

Aaron Ramsey to Pumas in Mexico.

8 new pages of this thread, I'm guessing there is nothing worth catching up on?

Goddamn, I've been waiting for Ange to get sacked for ages, just so I could change the thread title to "Ange PFortyFiveLu", but @Disco beat me to the punch.

We probably shouldn't be putting Academy players in the role Gillespie is doing like, it would basically stop any development they may have
-
Absolutely, and I cannot stress this enough, fucking not.

Yeah but she has had several excellent seasons in the role, and by all accounts kept the womens team afloat by running everything to do with it pre-takeover, so she more than deserved her chance at this level, and besides how do you know she's out of depth until you give her the chance at it. TBH personally I don't see it, finishing 5th in the first season at semi/ professional level is more than a reasonable job in my eyes.
