Depends what the points reduction would’ve been. Whats 4-6 points if he’s our RW answer for the next 3-5years.

In his defence he suffered on his first start what those on the club’s medical staff claimed was the worst hamstring injury they’d seen. Was never the same player.

Have Red’s second favourites. See a lot of infighting with B&W’s

Didn’t feel there was much improvement from watching them for my only previous time when they played SJP the first time. Number 23 still the standout player. Maybe the midfielder with the long ponytail also looked to have some potential.

My money is on the Whites.

Who’s our money on this week for asking him if he wants the England job? No Hope?

Might have a female timekeeper this year. Awaiting the first Woke reference As for timekeeping if we can somehow get the first game going early (9:55) that will give us actually more breathing space than you’d expect. Main thing is we KO no later than 10am.

Option 1 with 8v8 if all 32 players turn up I’d say. 7v7 has left some glaring gaps on the pitch due to fitness levels if teams turn out imbalanced. Also makes it harder for a simple turn of pace to slice open a team or long ball. That little bit less space will hopefully tighten all the games up and help those who are unable to run endlessly. Also means maximum game time for everyone and less time keeping admin for rotation. Everyone knows where they stand from the off except the team without designated GK who will need to decide how they rotate. Everyone gets to play against everyone and shorter games means you ain’t seizing up waiting for next fixture. 10 years ago I would’ve stuck with 7+1 but over the last couple of years I think it’s time we give 8v8 a go. Can always revert next year if need be. With so many long distance travellers playing I’d rather them get as much pitch time as they can this year.

Sunderland ticket arrived in post. Many going from here?

Any spares for this floating around?

There won’t be a decision on the stadium until January so not sure why anyone would expect sponsorships tied to it announced before then.
-
Yes remember the one. Wasn’t sure if it was actually part of the CAT case or just prelims of the CAT case. Think that was next in line. Anyway like you say not long after the takeover went through but only because SA paid £1b to cover the piracy issue.
-
Memory a bit hazy but don’t think we ever got the chance to run the CAT case. Everything would’ve come out in the wash there and then if we had.

Interesting…

Makes a bigger farce of the Schar sending off…

Me trying to be incognito in that first picture Was a fun afternoon. Lee Ryder asking what the backstory was. God he’s thick as mince bless him.

Ticket sales are a drop in the ocean if you want to go down that route. Every solution being mentioned today however will cost the club money. Meanwhile every game sells out.

Probably the reason we found ourselves scrambling to meet PSR in July. Have said that the club had sponsorships they expected to go through being delayed and delayed. That aside the club have played a blinder using Man City as the stalking horse in all that. Might not be as groundbreaking initially as some think/hope but definitely the start of better times for us and certainly not a good look for some of our competitors.
-
Yep. One of my main issues with PSR etc. It punished us for what many deemed a safely/well run and ultimately the ultimate PSR club. It highlights its not what the rules are for at the end of the day as those in debt can do what they wish as they just argue projections are big enough to service the debts.

In fairness the takeover was 2 year in the making so they’ll of been aligning their ducks in fear we made a breakthrough with it I seriously think they thought they had us backed into a corner until PIF paid £1b to sort the piracy issue out and showed how serious they were and remove the last obstacle of any merit. Quite ironic it was 3yrs today for the takeover

Great point in your first paragraph. However as for your second he’s done everything they’ve asked and thats why we are where we are now. In an illegal quagmire and a less attractive league to many due to strangled competition. Ultimately Masters is just a Patsy. He has absolutely no control. Just a figurehead to take the praise and blame and keep attention away from various owners with too much sway.
