  1. It’s not a foul. It’s not a penalty. Saying it’s definitely a penalty is just silly.
  2. Agreed. For the record the Jota one is more of a penalty than today’s. As much as I hate admitting it. Jota never a penalty personally but GK guilty of the slightest of contact towards him. Today it was all on AG initiating everything.
  3. You said I’d been on the drink all day ‎ Why? Because he wasn’t going to score. He wasn’t caught by the GK. AG manipulates any contact and even then does a poor job of it because it’s minimal at best. Never understand why it’s so hard for some fans to have an honest opinion when it means it’s not in our favour. Pleased as punch we got it and converted it. However if I was sat in the pub with a Man City fan I’d be telling him it’s a very soft penalty. Would hate it given against us.
  4. Not pissed at all and more importantly not bias. It’s never a penalty. If you’ve ever played the game at any basic level that’s never a foul. You are either clueless or bias. Maybe bigger shouts elsewhere but certainly not that one.
  5. Just home. The penalty was never a penalty after seeing it.
  6. If so I apologise. Last updates i saw lunchtime where 2029
  7. The fact that its a 5yr contract being reported (2029) would suggest your guess is incorrect and therefore not the strategy. Without his work rate and intensity there is a massive drop off as we’ve seen. Would be careful with his contract. Pleased he’s extending and not breaking wage structure the main thing. He’s better than a lot on here thought he was, but he’s not as good as he thinks he is. Balance to be had.
  8. Maybe needs pinned or put somewhere else… https://support.newcastleunited.com/hc/en-gb/sections/14310701692444-Mags-Member-Ticket-Ballot-Member-General-Sale-Information
  9. Was probably a bit further down the line than that. Deal and figures both sides in principle agreed and a medical booked in Germany but we held off hoping we could resolve our PSR black hole an alternative route at the eleventh hour. Which we did. Clearly the biggest fallout of it all has been AG’s mental state since. If we valued Miggy and paid as much attention to him I’m sure the last couple of windows have had similar effect to him also.
  10. Very sad news and best wishes for him and his family. On a lighter note it does seem the gods are always against NUFC. Nothing seems to go as planned. Whether it be getting wealthy owners and laws introduced to kerb mainly just us. Cup Final no show. Then the Ashworth situation. Missing out on Europe when normally we wouldn’t have. New cup draw rules the year it doesn’t suit us and extended ECL the year after we made it. Then Meh & Mandy. Then EH & Mitchell. Now Eales. All in a relatively short space of time. So many sliding doors. Enjoy the journey they say
  11. Not really. Lacking of running and making yourself available for a pass or attempting to win the ball back is ALL on the player.
  12. The problem with the likes of Gordon and Bruno only the players themselves can sort. It’s not on the coaching team when there’s a lack of application.
  13. What data metric highlights elite passing ability?

Has its critics on here for its simplicity but i keep looking at the stands and elevation gradient and how big each block is and think it will be a bear pit personally.

Exactly. One size fits all rules don’t do us any favours.

Always think survey results are very subjective. It all depends on how clever and clear the questions are. For example i could ask 1000 match going fans would you prefer to stay at SJP and you’ll get a simple yes from the majority. If you ask the same 1000 are you prepared to give up your Season Tickets for 4+yrs to assist in renovations of SJP you’d get a much different answer. If you ask the same 1000 you’ve had your stint attending so due to size the ground is going 100% general sale again you’d get a different answer. If you ask the same 1000 that we will be restricted in our player spending if we remain again you’d get a different response. If you you continually pose the question to those who think they OWN their seat and went through the Ashley years happily you’ll always get a high % wanting to remain. You can’t just ask would you prefer to stay or move and not spell out the consequences of each option. It’s like Brexit all over again.
  17. Think your sums are slightly out. You forgot the £1b to square up the piracy issue allowing them to buy the club
  18. Yeah can’t think we have too many fringe players who’ll start apart from Osula. Kelly at LCB might be nice to see but other than that due to our form and need to progress we’ll go very strong. Change in bench might be more youngsters at most but not sure I’d class them fringe players.
