Disagree with Chelsea. One of the best away ends in my experience in the EPL. Certainly the upper tier. Great view and still close to pitch. Previously was the worst when away end was behind the dugouts I’ll admit but that was years ago.

I’m not sure what you are evening arguing now from my original points. You just seem to of went off on a tangent with a clear agenda against the owners
  3. Covers bus metro and ferry but not trains. I can pick you up from Gateshead Stadium metro stop (so just 5mins/two stops from Central Station) and take you to the pitch and back if you get stuck or I’m sure we can sort a lift elsewhere if needed. Will be taking @Unbelievableand his friend from Holland along with @JB but could squeeze one more in if needed and sit you apart
  4. If it wasn’t for him now being captain I wonder if this would’ve been a game EH would ever go with Tonali, Joelinton and Longstaff due to training time. Then introduce Bruno for the last 30.
  5. Metro ticket at machine is around £3.60-£4.30 from the Airport for single journey which you just get as you arrive (metro is far left of departures/arrivals) and use to get through initial barrier. Depending on your plans and arrival time you might want to get a Day Rover instead (£6) which lets you use buses metros all zones and even the Tyne & Wear Ferry all day so ideal if you travel into town to dump your stuff at hotel presumably in town then want to travel about to the coast etc and return back later that day. They might even cover first few hours until 3am approximately iirc if having a late one.

They (Tories) also helped with the takeover and get rid of Ashley. Such a minefield if you turn your arguments political.
  7. That’s what I was thinking when I read @gbandit post Used to be a bit of a graveyard for us but been a few years now since they’ve beat us. Maybe this will be their year 😆

Ask that question around 2032. Far too early to query. I’d imagine the local food bank is pleased with their investment so far though. Along with many many more staff employed at SJP at wage rate that was hailed as a positive. Why would they need to if they have the old SJP site to play with? They might put the two side by side. Quite common thing to do in Europe. People keep saying things moving slowly but to me the owners have only just got started now that everyone is in place. First few years were all about fighting off relegation. Strengthen the first team and junior squads. Set up fan engagement. Hire the right people to take the club forward. You don’t just rush in with two massively important projects. Especially one that is seen as potentially sensitive to the shortsighted.

First six month… When we were a shell of a club with no staff… no quality players… poor manager… facing relegation. Show some patience and understanding of the situation. Some clubs had more staff running their players car parking and player liaisons than we did running our entire club! Some people either have short memories or seriously lack actual knowledge of how the club was run previously.
  10. If it’s true of course. Never heard any issues from EH (seemed a bit bemused by it all) and I’ve not heard anything come from KT yet unless I’ve missed it? Wouldn’t be surprised if certain people in KTs camp… wether it being current or perhaps former enjoying stirring a bit of controversy.
  11. Didn’t read that way but anyway.. I agree I’ve been a defendant of KT on here. His form last season was at times some of his best before December. Just had a bad six weeks approximately with a couple of high profile errors and then struggled with injury and whilst playing not fully fit an odd game. Not naive to not realise off the pitch hasn’t helped at times. He’s still got a big part to play this season IMO. Maybe not as prominent as he would like but I don’t think EH underestimates his importance. The managers balancing act AGAIN has been caused by PSR.

The people needed in the positions required for such things have only been in their jobs a matter of months. Find your opening paragraph mind blowing. How you or anyone can come to that conclusion constantly amazes me
  13. You expecting KT to be first choice this season?
  14. Exactly this. Amazing how badly this has been reported despite EH making it quite clear.

    Anthony Elanga

This. If the price drops between£45-52m I can see Mitchell going for him. Even if just for optics after last window and all the rubbish talked about it.

Maybe if the fans made a bigger vocal effort in terms of being Pro a new stadium then announcements would be quicker. One of my biggest concerns is how concerned the club is upsetting the fans with a new stadium and procrastinating about making the sensible decision. If they knew there is more support for it then they probably realise we could get a move on. This and I’m guessing when there is an announcement everything will be good to go and things move quickly rather than hit hurdle after hurdle, obstruction after obstruction.
  17. This. Did canny. Nothing great. Never feel confident when he’s 1v1.
  18. Looks great. Views/seats both close to pitch. Very envious.
  19. The photos showed full rows. No way random people who couldn’t make it just happened to also sat together… Let’s have a honest conversation about this. Some people made money from fans by owning a ridiculous amount of STs all with good points gained over the years set up as travel groups and connected to coach hire trips where they will find you a ticket if you go via that coach. I’ve seen it with my own eyes. It’s nothing to do with last minute illness. I get the train strikes ref I think the Spurs game but you can still return them to the club for refund uless the strike was announced within 48hrs of KO. A new trait new is people not taking up their seats and cramming in with mates as standing allows usually a 2 for 1 ratio. Certainly 3 for 2. If I recall the Brighton was the first game under the new rules (?) and it probably highlighted and caught out those who rely on others for tickets. Im on both sides of the fence. Originally I used to always enjoy helping people out for the few games I didn’t attend always at face value. So yes I didn’t see the harm in one way as going to genuine fan. On the other side though there had to be a change to give others a chance. You can’t just have the same 3K fans controlling the whole system. Hopefully a more balanced outcome between the two where you are allowed to pass 2-4 max per season to others as long as they have a full membership. Also a more balanced punishment as losing all your loyalty points is extreme. Maybe a seasons worth or at most 50%.
  20. Think the empty seats going empty was overblown. Mainly by a group of people who actually benefit from the old system. Amazing what stories you can tell with a well timed photo. Why ultimately would ID checks create empty seats?

    Joe Willock

Would imagine he’ll play against Wimbledon.
  22. Hope up to his usual tricks. Honestly if I ever bothered to go to a talk in that he was involved in I think I’d lamp him one…
  23. This. Not even worth getting annoyed about. No one cares in reality.
  24. Even if you took reports at face value then you’d have to note we offered £15m for Elanga in the Anderson deal only to be stuck with a £12.8/£20m GK. Cant see our value of him a month later going to £50m plus Almiron. The time to overpay was to help PSR not the end of the window.
